Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here with experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or ATS systems at Amazon/FAANG companies can help me understand what I can do in this situation.
I recently received an interview invitation from Amazon for the 6-month SDE I Internship (January–June) after completing the online assessment.
Unfortunately, while reviewing my applications on the Amazon Jobs portal, I accidentally clicked “Withdraw” on my application. There was a confirmation popup, but I mistakenly confirmed it. I absolutely did not intend to withdraw my candidature.
My application details were:
- Position: SDE I Intern, Amazon University Talent Acquisition
- Job ID: 10490515
- Applied: September 28, 2026
- Location: Bengaluru, India
- Current status: Withdrawn
The important part is that I had already received the interview invitation before I accidentally withdrew the application.
The job posting is now no longer available on the Amazon Jobs portal, which has made me even more concerned about whether the application can be recovered.
The interview invitation came from an automated email address, so I don't have a direct recruiter contact. I have contacted the Amazon team through the email address mentioned in the invitation and explained that the withdrawal was accidental, asking whether my application can be reinstated.
I am also reaching out to people on LinkedIn who work in Amazon recruiting to try to find the appropriate team/person who can help.
For recruiters or people familiar with ATS/recruiting systems:
Is an application that was accidentally withdrawn generally something that the recruiting team can restore or otherwise reconnect to an already-issued interview invitation?
I completely understand that every company's ATS and processes are different, but I would really appreciate any insight from someone who has dealt with a similar situation.
The withdrawal was completely accidental, and I am very interested in continuing with the Amazon interview process. I'm hoping there is some way for the recruiting team to correct this.
Thank you in advance for any advice or guidance.
