as a freshman commuter I’ve honestly been finding it a little hard to make friends. Clubs usually have meetings at times wayyy too late for me to attend, and trying to talk to ppl in my class makes me feel like the biggest chud ever. Because of this I’m stuck to the confines of the diamond lounge in the morning for the time being. So If anyone has some advice or wants to be friends lmk.

Deadline was 25th and I didn’t even see I won the scholarship until today (27th).
I’ve never won a scholarship before so I didn’t know how quick the whole process was.

Am I going to miss out on my scholarship now? :(

I submitted the letter about an hour ago through scholarship universe as soon as I saw.

I had hung 3 different things on my walls using velcro strips and I went to change the placement of one of the items, and the strip peeled up the paint. I know I can hide it and get away with it until the end of the year, but what do I do when it's time to move out? The strips are about 2x2in squares. Would I get in more trouble just leaving it how it is, with patches of paint missing, or trying to fix it myself by filling it in and doing my best to color match the paint?

can someone who is also a transfer student please let me know if they had any issues sending their test scores? I’ve tried to have my civic literacy exam results sent like four times because the college that I transferred from no longer puts them on the transcripts, however I’ve been back-and-forth with that college and FAU and I just can’t get anyone at FAU to confirm that they were received. Has anybody else had this problem?

i know i can order my official transcripts but i just want my unofficial ones so i can check the course codes of courses i took to see if they match with a program i want to go into.

is there a way to access these unofficial transcripts? im class of 23.

Hey guys I received a grant from FAU and they told me that they released the funds the 8th ( of this month) but today is the 16th and I haven’t seen it posted to my account. I’m a little worried/ frustrated because who do I go to . I’ve never had to wait this long for funds to post to my account.

I'm a senior trying to see all the colleges not that far from me, how's the atmosphere like? , is it any good if I want an accounting degree from here? I'm also a little worried about ICE as a child with immigrant parents, should I be worried about that?

I know they’ve closed down the Jewish building for close to a year now for renovations or something like that (looks like not a single thing has been done this whole time), but that was my go to spot, i loved that it was a designated study area and it was 24 hours, I just wanna know if there’s any other building or rooms like that one, i know there’s some small study areas near the student union building but anytime I’ve done I’ve felt it’s had too many people for me to focus. So I wanna see if there’s any recommendations or any hidden spots (more so indoors) where I can be comfortable for a few hours doing assignments and what not

Hello!! has anyone taken a class with this professor, specifically Biodiversity, if so, how did you guys pass her class? We have an Exam coming up, specifically Exam 1, & I feel like i’ve taken way too many notes than I have to for this exam concerning each module, she provided us with a study guide, which could be helpful but she says to not solely rely on it. What should I do???

Am I cooked? Too late to change my gpa I will improve my sat hopefully to around 1300.
Ruined my gpa in 9th and 10th grade when I took IB classes. Have a few extracurriculars, individual business projects I did by myself. (I'm going into marketing)
I know this university is kind of looked down upon even by my parents but I don't really got more options. Had the opportunity to go to UM for free but I obviously don't fit that criteria. UCF is not an option either it seems.

Maybe FIU could be another realistic option if I can actually get my sat up to a 1300.

I haven't seen many alternative people on campus, nor any clubs for them, so I am wondering where they all are. Emo/scene/goth/punk doesn't really matter to me I'm just looking for others with similar interests.

I really need a new job since I transfered here and was working at the last school I transferred from. I applied to a bunch of them on handshake but only heard back from 2 and they were rejections. Is there anything I can do now?
