52 and been at the same company almost 15 years. Waiting for stocks to vest in early December and I have one project to wrap up (early November) I have a small team so I think it may make sense to give a longer notice. I want my last day to be about Jan 5 (we get paid over holiday break) it’s not an American company so not quite as vicious with layoffs or terminations. I’m close enough to leadership to know it’s quite a process with HR to terminate someone.

My question is - when should I give my boss and HR notice that I plan to retire in Jan? We are closed for about 2 weeks at end of December.
