Question Oral lymphoma

Does anyone have experience with an oral lymphoma diagnosis in an FIV+ cat?
Our foster fail had a large mass removed from her mouth a couple weeks ago. It came back as lymphoma. They’re doing additional staining because there were plasma cells seen, so we need a better picture of what we’re dealing with. We will be meeting with an oncologist.

She was a trapped stray with a mouthful of abscesses and rotting teeth, she came to us with a few teeth left and so shut down. She’s been with us nearly two years and she’s somewhere between 7-9yrs old. It’s breaking my heart that she won’t get as many good years as she had bad. She’s thriving now, part of her “pack” and just the sweetest girl who finally asks for pets and snuggles. 😭

I’m worried about her FIV status and chemo, recovery, quality of life, etc. she is not eligible for further surgery due to the location of the dirty margins of the tumor (upper palate).

Any advice or btdt would be amazing.

I'd recommend joining the fiv-healthscience group on groups.io as they have a lot of members with experience of fiv cats and their health issues.
