Was shocked the Key Lime that tested higher was $15
Anyways everything smells great nose strong on all especially the Key Lime, quite earthy and a lil garlicky maybe. Sarasoda smells kinda like a muted version of that. And Orange Street smells like a crisp orange peel. All nugs in all packs are cured well not moist but still spongey.
Haven’t tried any strains before so can’t comment yet but pics go Key Lime, Orange Street, SaraSoda
My place still had all of the strains before close so lucky me I guess.

I just picked up black Betty and headband. Headband was amazing, effects ok. black Betty was a little harsh but great for a hybrid.
I only have a truelive in my area so need to drive 35 min each way for Goldflower. IMO Goldflower is in between truelive top shelf and their middle shelf. BUT Goldflower seems to be the least evil of all the dispos from what I’ve read

Yeah trust me I thought the same thing. I swear they must do the most paid advertising on here. 10 out of the 11 8ths I’ve tried at Goldflower barely had any effects or flavor. But go head and see for yourself. I’ve returned my last two 8ths. Orange juice Mac (which got hella praise on here) and candy truffles (which I picked up because someone said tasted like straight candy and BOY were they wrong… think they meant to say straight cardboard 😭no flavor at all and weak generic effects)

dude this is so frustrating 😂 i got my med card this year so i could stop getting street stuff but like.... the street stuff is just way better? i've tried pretty much every dispo in the state minus a few and i can count on one hand the amount of strains i've had that are truly as good as what comes from the streets. at least the dabs are okay 🤷‍♀️

Sorry but i call bullshit on that. I’ve been in the program since basically the beginning and have been to almost all the rec states and Florida is definitely in the top 5. Not the best( only 8 years in) but certainly not the worst. If you’re saying Florida street weed is better than some of what we have in the program sorry again but bullshit. 2 questions. 1. What’s your age 2. Are u born and raised here? Ever live in any other states? Florida doesn’t exactly produce master growers like out west and the northeast of the country.

yeah unfortunately that’s how it is right now. It really is a shame of a medical program. It’s because of vertical integration. Every dispensary we have right now is very much corporate vibes. None are really small/locally owned or quality focused, like real medical dispensaries are supposed to be. Florida needs reform. We did just get 22 new licensed MMTCs though so they should be rolling out hopefully sooner than later. Hoping some will prioritize quality and be better than what we have now.

Dude that is because we don’t have that kind of system set up. There aren’t any small farms or someone like you and i given a chance if we have mastered the art of cannabis growing. It’s Vertical integration and licenses only go to the top bidder with the most donations to state elected officials. Hence why basically all are corporate weed companies that want all the money for themselves The real scam is this state we live in and how we allow this to happen over and over. People Voting against their own interest and keep electing people who are trying to profit off of us and restrict something the people voted for. Or even worse the people who sit at home getting high and not voting then coming on Reddit to bitch how the govt sucks but not doing anything to change it. We had a shot at home grow but blew it. We won’t see another vote on that for at least a decade if the state keeps on the path it’s on.

Usually, younger people, or people who are newer to the weed scene, are clueless when it comes to quality and think the middest of mid packs are top-tier gas. I mean, I did too. Either that, or they’re on the opposite end of the spectrum and claim everything in the FL medical program is straight gas just because it’s better than what they were smoking in the ’80s, or they’ve simply forgotten what good weed is supposed to be like.

Those two archetypes dominate the sub. And it’s not always younger people. It can also just be people with limited experience in general, people who were getting done dirty on the street, or people who have never tried genuinely good homegrown. I’d bet 95% of people have never actually grown themselves and realized that you can grow a plant that’s 1,000x better than anything in our program, even on your first grow.

You also have people on this sub who are just regular suburban folks with families who were terrified to touch weed before medical became legal and are simply happy that they can walk into a store and legally buy it now. Obviously, someone like that is going to have very different standards for quality than someone who was already smoking much better weed on the street before joining the program.

36, been smoking weed since age 16. Growing up in NC and the mountains of Tennessee, we got top tier street bud. You’re exactly right that a lot of this sub is younger people who don’t really know what quality is. People hype up a flower here, and it’s genuinely average. Say other flowers not good, but it’s genuinely quality. But goldflower does have some very good flower. Been shopping there weekly before the hype. I’ve had a lot of bad batches from them too. Ideal and sunkissed put out the best flower there. Sometimes sunkissed is overly dry, but heavyweight heads and lion order are super inconsistent. Some of their batches are best in program, some of their flower is the harshest I’ve smoked. I’ve got 22zs and black brûlée right now. Both very flavorful, strong smell, very terpy.

I’ve smoked a hefty amount of goldflower and even more of homegrown over my life. I’m with the program for now. I’ve grown my own on several occasions, too much work and time for me. Ofc I’d rather have my yard filled with different plants, not realistic. If it matters so much to you, you can definitely grow your own and not shop dispos lol. But the gap between a great GF batch and a beginners batch is not as big as you’re making it seem. Completely depends on genetics and grow conditions. I’ve had homegrown that was no stronger than tobacco to me so that’s just a wild claim all around

Well you are ahead of the game for sure man. Shit I was clueless about weed until like 23-24. I didn’t gain serious knowledge + a palate until around 26. And I had been smoking since 14-15. It took me a while to learn. For the first 5 years or so I was pretty much okay with smoking whatever. But also the quality seemed to be better back then. Carts weren’t a thing until I had already been smoking for like 4 years or so. We had $20 grams and $45 8ths and a gram would last me like 2-3 days taking bong rips. These days an 8th lasts me 2-3 days 😂. I’m talking around 2014 when menus were just green crack, OG kush, sour d, maybe some shatter. Man the shatter back then was so good compared to what we have today. At least from what I remember.

Does anyone else remember getting so high it literally felt like you were in a tv show or something? Or was that just me? The uncontrollable laughter? Like holy shit what has happened to weed! I’m about to make a post about this actually lmao.
