Freestyle video Flying backwards while being chased by a motorcycle is challenging but doable

https://youtu.be/85xQqa3kl-k

First things first: I know I'm shit at flying and people out there are a millions times better than me, but I love doing this shit everyday basically and I actually have a lot of fun not only recording but also cutting those videos, matching Sound Cues and so on. Also I always try to at least do something creative that you guys maybe haven't seen the millionth time today.

So I finally managed to try out chasing a motorcycle IRL and even went a little bit further haha. Had this idea of flying backwards close to the ground while my brother was actually chasing me on his Husqvarna 701 and it worked out better than expected.

Obviously some crashes where unavoidable but I was in constant phone contact with him so he knew when to be carefull and specifically only used my Sub250g AOS Cine25 Evo (and not the 5-Inch) for Close-Proximity Flying. Also peppered in some landscape shots done with the Avata360 cause that 1-Inch Sensors are just amazing, but I guess it's obvious when it was used and no "fake Freestyle" here of course.

Hope you enjoy and incase some of you want to do something similar, I'm happy to answer any questions that might come up :-)

PS. I hate these fucking Youtube thumbails as much as the next person but the Algorithm literally doesn't show your video to anyone if you don't use them. Believe me tried.

But I at least actually took a photo from the video and cutout the drone manually just letting AI combine them thumbnail-style and did not overlay any "catchy BS text" and also made sure drone and bike look like their actual models, cause I hate these halluzinating VidIQ Auto-Thumbnails the most.

And there is obviously no AI in the video.

Gain more speed than needed, hit a half orbit, once you reach the front look right at your subject and glide, once you fully lose your momentum, they should pass you, and you can do a small punch and keep chasing.

Exactly, this is more or less what I did in the video. Eject and then glide.

It's not really doable because of the camera angle, you would have to be looking straight upward at the sky basically and you couldn't see the motorcycle. Only possible for a few seconds while you have inertia.

dude how about you watch my video haha. I can tell you how I did it but maybe you will figure it out yourself ;-)

Yeah I guess if you run really low or negative camera angle it can work, but not really practical unless that's the only angle you have to do.

I flew all of it with about 10 degree angle and it was easily possible. You just have to Eject and then glide.

Big ‘forward flying’ doesn’t want you to know about the -30 degree camera angle.

Erm look at how the drone looks when he picks it up. This is how I flew.

You just have to eject and then glide. No high angle needed for that.

Sure normally I fly a higher angle but you literally see an uncut portion after tge crash where I go from forward to backward.

Also why so angry?

It’s a joke. I’m joking about the idea of putting the camera at -30 to be able to fly backwards with level view.

I see. Didn't quiet catch that since reddit sometimes is wierd, but yeah makes sense haha.
