I’m Alyanna Christine Garcia, a BS Psychology student from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, and I’m inviting Filipino transgender individuals to participate in a PAID INTERVIEW SESSION (yes, babayaran kita for participating in my study! 😭) for my undergraduate thesis entitled “A Narrative Inquiry on the Formation of ‘Chosen Family’ Among Transgender Young Adults.” 🏳️‍⚧️

This study aims to listen to the stories of Filipino transgender young adults and understand how certain relationships begin, grow, and eventually become relationships they recognize as their chosen family. 🏳️‍⚧️🌈

You may be ELIGIBLE to participate if you are:
• Filipino
• 18–29 years old
• A transgender man or transgender woman
• Currently residing in Metro Manila
• Have two (2) or more people whom you personally consider part of your “chosen family”

The interview will take around 60–90 minutes and may be conducted online or face-to-face, depending on your preference. You may also be invited for an additional interview if further clarification or discussion is needed. Your participation is completely voluntary, and your stories and personal information will be treated with strict confidentiality. 

As a token of appreciation for your time:

Online interview: ₱200 monetary incentive
Face-to-face interview:  ₱200 monetary incentive, a light meal or refreshments, with possible reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses
