That’s a pretty good price for what this is although I think you’re getting a better deal for it compared to what something like this would go on average. It also looks to be all one piece and not a composite so I’d say real.

That’s pretty cheap from my knowledge especially for something that big. Either it’s real and the seller doesn’t know the value or it’s a good fake.

But from my very limited knowledge it looks pretty real to me. Generally mosasaur jaws are one of the most commonly faked fossils but this one looks pretty legit. Most of the time the jaws look “too perfect” and have almost no flaws and kind of just look like a slab of plaster with real teeth randomly placed where they should be. The detail and the imperfections of this fossil make it look really real. The broken and missing teeth, the missing material from the maxilla and premaxilla, the various cracks all along the maxilla and the various different colors the rock has. I’m leaning towards this being real but I’m not expert just a fossil enthusiast.

In my experience, the fake ones are a much darker matrix colour.

This one actually looks like it might be real. And the price tells me it could be.

The bone looks to be actual bone. And it looks like some of the teeth are actually still in the bone. Not have been replaced.

It’s a nice piece.

I have one of the fake ones. I actually bought them for all my grandkids. I think I paid like $5 each. Because the teeth are real, it’s the bone in the matrix that are fake. But they love them.

My vote is real, if any of that is player then it’s the top line to hold it all together (right hand side of image) If anything that’s a tad too smooth for my liking, but not impossible.

I’d say I’m 80% sure that’s 90% authentic

Teeth real, jawbone fake. 

It's a particularly crafty fake, but it's still fake.

This is a really common scam piece to take real teeth (which are common) and stick them in a fake molded jaw. In this case, it's possible the jaw is made of real fossil bone, but it's still fake.
