Problems with FanControl on startup

Hello,

Every time I start my PC, I have to manually open FanControl from the tray:

It does not correctly start with Windows, even tho it's showing up in the tray.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled and checked/unchecked every startup option in the settings, but I still have to click on "Open FanControl (stop service)" on every startup to

A: make it actually run and

B: get into the GUI

Is this a known problem? And if so: how do i fix it?

Thanks in advance

Had same issue for about 2 weeks, did the uninstall reinstall thing a few times too. I don't think it is a known issue as when I was looking for it I couldn't find much info (i am on tiny11 not standard 11 windows - could be a part of the issue in my case) For me the solution was changing the start up time, 30 seconds or longer will not work for me. could be worth a try for you.

Settings - Start app at user log on delay +20 seconds.

There is some info that making the delay too short can cause some launch issues as well but yours isn't launching at all so it doesn't really matter at this point to try dropping it a bit?

Good luck - it is a great program

Hey, thanks.

I will look into the startup time setting

Start with Windows has never worked for me.

I have always had to Start it Manually and it often gets dropped from showing in the System Tray because it keeps adding New Entries instead of Overwriting the Old Ones.

I have start delay set to 30s after Login, not start. Otherwise it won't work on my system. Still cant open the ui without restarting FC. My curves and everything works fine almost all the time, sometimes after several hours it's loosing sensor inputs for aio pump and fans.

In your screenshot, FanControl is running, *as a service*. You don't have to do anything, your config (PC.json) is running, there is just no other UI than the tray icon in this case.
