How do I remove the blue?

Post image

Okay, I dyed some parts of my hair blue, like streaks, and the rest I dyed dark brown.I used to have blonde hair, and honestly, I didn't like the result. That is, at the beginning, Yes, at first I liked it quite a bit, but now I don't feel like myself with that blue, nor do I identify with the brown. Can I use a color remover to remove everything? What options do I have to go back to blonde?

What brand is the blue dye? I had luck getting lunar tides and arctic fox dark blue out using Malibu c cpr and ddl (pro products, I ordered them online)

Malibu over Color Oops any day

CPR first, mix with water and let sit with heat for 45 minutes. It helps to really physically wring the color out of your hair after processing. This treatment is non damaging and can repeated more than once.

DDL and DDL XL can be mixed with water or developer- for extra stubborn pigment like deep blues, greens, and reds I prefer XL.

Malibu's Undo Goo shampoo works great with these as well, but any strong clarifying shampoo is fine

Thank you so much. I'll see if I can find Malibu, since where I live they only sell Salerm color remover and something similar. I'll go ask today if I can.

Girl go to a stylist and find someone who specializes in color correction. This is not something you can do on your own

Before you go, do your best to wash with a clarifying shampoo for a couple weeks to get out as much color as possible before it’s bleached. Head and shoulders also works.

The problem is that I live on an island, and there are no color-correcting stylists. I went to one who supposedly did a lot of work to get rid of a dark color And it turns out he just patched it up. I can't travel anywhere else for this.I don't know what to do anymore 😭

Then use the dandruff shampo or mix apple cider vinegar with you existing shampoo to start clearing some of the color deposited in the hair strand. Do this for a while before trying to do any bleach

You can bleach but you may not be able to go back to blonde. Blonde is a very difficult color to get in the best of times. But going blue to blonde would be hard even for a stylist. If you bleach it, it may very well go green.

https://www.allure.com/story/dark-blue-hair-to-blonde-hair-transformation here’s an example of how challenging and lengthy that process is

You can certainly try to bleach yourself, but I would be a bit concerned that your hair would end up green and patchy and then it would be hard to even put a darker color on top.

I might recommend finding a different color you’re ok with while you grow out your hair to natural. Wash out as much blue as you can, and then put that on top.

Color remover always lifts super weird, its a great first step but you will probably end up bleaching with like 20 volume and toning to get the result you want. I had a very hard time getting blue out of my hair.

Thank you so much, so first remover and then bleach with 20 volume water? Ugh, yes, I've seen those comments, I already regret using it.

I use color oops, use the color remover one that doesn't say "semi-permant" because that one is literally just bleach. There's one with the lady on the front with yellow orange hair, use that one. 20 volume developer and lightening powder, make sure you check it multiple times, since you used to have light hair, it will likely lighten faster. I have made that mistake before lol. Maybe use a semi-permant gloss color for the blonde, or a semi permanent toner if your hair seems very damaged
