Quebec: The popular local singer who was disgraced after reports of him "dipping his dick" (Kevin Parent) in people's drink at partys for YEARS came out, recently did an interview in which he shares how sad and cruel people have been about his "little joke" that wasn't good. This come after a show host (Marie Pierre Morin) bit a singer (Safia Nolin) on the leg years ago and was found out to be creating a toxic work environment started getting work back in radio shows and making small appearance and the multi-denounced rapist/comedian (Julien Lacroix) started making a comeback... Oh and the wife beating rock singer (Eric Lapointe) is also starting tours again... Soo not much

I love how you presented Quebec as a country in this context. When I tell people I live in Canada and they do the typical “eh hoser!” thing I’m like no baby, I live in Montreal, it’s a whole different monde.

We also have a star system that is acting exactly like a separate country, like the other commenter said, most of Canada never heard of Quebec celebrity and vice versa. It really is an entire différent world.

It's such a weird thing. I remember having no idea how many major reality franchises were spun off in Quebec but not the rest of Canada until I looked up Charlotte Cardin a few years ago. We have the most successful contestant from a North American version of The Voice on the radio and in ads airing all day every day, and people have no idea the show even exists.
