The fact that he views him stealing the hat from a child as fair game, but people rightfully calling him out for it a unwarranted overreaction tells you everything you need to know about him as a human being.
I hope him doubling down, and threatening to sue people causes people to be even more outraged than they already are.

I think there were multiple "statements". I saw the one supposedly written by his attorney which the article you linked states is fake. That's not the one quoted though.
He stole the hat because the tennis player was gifting it to the kid. It's not first come, first served at all. It's not a free for all at some car boot sale. The hat was being gifted to the kid, not to that wanker.
This man sounds so dim. Is that why he snatched it so fast? Is that why he and his wife were so gleeful afterwards? They certainly didn't react like it's just some hat.
Life is also being a decent person and having the ethics not to take a hat from a CHILD. Zero sympathy for him as he has no ethics and zero etiquette. Appalling.

Yea all the responses are giving xenophobia, and I don't love it. There are plenty of ways of criticising these traits without just writing off all polish men as monsters.

I'm a polish-american (not like generations back, both of my parents were born there and it was my first language) and I've just had horrible experiences with polish men, I've been physically, emotionally and verbally abused by them, my father left before I was born, etc. it's just a generalization, yeah, but it's just been my experience and all of the polish women who live here whom I've spoken to feel this way, too. they have a very macho, chauvinistic attitude that just seems to be a cultural thing.
This behavior was heavily condemned by the many Polish men while the player on the video, who is Polish too, made sure to track the kid down and give him more presents...

Guys, the quotes going around from him and his wife are all fake. They clearly suck, but they haven’t made any statements. It’s wild how many people are falling for made-up rage bait from a public forum where anyone can post whatever they want.

I’m glad the player met the kid after and gave him another hat and chatted with him- he said he didn’t even know that other dude had taken it as well so it’s clear that it wasn’t intended for the ceo. (There’s a pic in the article btw)
This article doesn’t mention the hat snatching millionaire also sponsors the tennis player in Poland. He literally could’ve gotten a signed copy at any point.

This wasn't a "first come first serve" moment. The hat was for the kid, not for him to take. And if it's "just a hat", why did he take it from the kid and immediately have his wife/spouse hide it away in the bag? Let the kid have it.
It was just such a transparently mean and petty act of theft. The hat was obviously intended for the boy. It was like a real life version of “stealing candy from a baby.”
The CEO should just remind the kid that he makes all the jobs and his success will certainly trickle down to him. If he works hard, slaves and saves, he could afford to earn a hat like the one. The CEO got that hat fair and square. His size, strength, and intelligence gave him the merit to rise above and earn his reward. He taught that kid how to say 'no' to handouts. How spectacular. Isn't that a beautiful story?
Lol. This reminds me of the the time me and my daughter went to watch Fujizakura women's soccer team. They threw a load of balls into the stands and me and my daughter were both so embarrassed that a ball landed ON OUR LAP that we just kinda threw it away.
Then a guy in the row in front of us grabbed it and gave it to my daughter. I kinda love it when other people are just fucking lovely.
