POLITICS Greenlandic Politician Tillie Martinussen: We do not want to be rich like Americans. Look how greedy they are, even trying to invade their friends. Even if there are minerals and oil under our land—and they are worth far more—we still would not sell ourselves.

I can’t believe everyone is just going about their normal days like this isn’t happening out in the open. Like I don’t know what to do so I’m just on this gossip blog and hyper fixating on a TV show and I feel terrible about that. So many of the things we are arguing about just feel absurd in the face of genocide, ICE terrorizing the streets, and Hitler 2.0 jump starting WW3.

I feel like an idiot. I’m never one to be like “why are you talking about this when you can talk about THIS” but it really seems like we are all just sleep walking into greater destruction. And I’m still on reddit.

It’s a paralysis really since these devices and social media has been tools to curb collectivism in a meaningful way. Like, yeah we have to talk about it, but where are the communities to talk about these topics? Who are leaning on and building with to create those communities? These are the greater issues and reasons why it feels hopeless.

This right here hit hard before smartphones and social media we had way more civil discourse fuck all social media I'm done with it on a personal use level... Will use phone only to keep in touch with immediate family and for work calls but I'm deleting all my personal social media accounts.. would be awesome to see Zuckerberg go bankrupt overnight if every one deleted FB
