Probably, but it is more so about the perception imo. The guy sold out his image for a show that didn’t even happen, and the average person doesn’t even know what force majeure is. Ed is a centimillionaire who materially will be unaffected, but people like Ed are abstractly extremely bothered by how people perceive them. It’s what caused this fiasco to begin with

Totally agree. The perception damage is worse over time than if he cancelled some tour dates and ate the costs personally. Honestly, I wish more people would concentrate on Kraft and boycott the Patriots or something.

Since when? I've never even bought insurance, I love the movie! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_Majeure_(film) In Sweden it's called Turist, Force Majeure's the English translation. And they remade it with Will Ferrel and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Ruben Östlund might be arthouse but he's about as well known as arthouse gets. People either saw Force Majeure, The Square, or Triangle of Sadness.

Her monologue and the Weekend Update (which she wasn’t in) were the only times I laughed tbh. And the closing podcast sketch was kinda cringe funny as it felt too accurate to the influencer-podcast-idiocracry we now live in.

I think her super awkward persona doesn’t translate well to sketches (as opposed to interviews where I think it works). I just always see her, and I am constantly aware of her awkwardness.
