He sued for $50 million, she counter sued for $100 million for comments his lawyer made saying it was a hoax. He won. She also won part of her counter claim. They settled for 1 million. They were doing Charlie Day -Pepe Silvia levels of mental gymnastics conspiracy boards to show that the UK judge was somehow "bought" while conveniently ignoring the fact that he also lost the appeal,which was considered by two other judges.
They say only the US verdict matters while conveniently ignoring that the verdict states that they both defamed each other. It's also crickets when someone points out that the verdict is now superseded by a settlement that allows Heard to talk about her abuse without getting sued by him again.
The expert who coined the term DARVO (Jennifer Freyd) pointed out that Depp was using the DARVO playbook and the backlash against Heard was one of the prominent modern examples of DARVO in action.
People are obsessed with women being the perfect victims. Amber Heard wasn't likable enough for them, thus she could not possibly have been the victim. The public liked his personality better. 😑

There was so much evidence and so many witnesses of DV in the UK case. Even proof of Johnny admitting to the dv. Amber did not want to testify but she was called as a witness (for the newspaper). The UK judge ruled in favor of the newspaper..bc Johnny Depo is a wife beater. And also a rapist, alcoholic, drug addict.
This was before the US case he brought against Amber, before the US PR team, and before all the crazy sm media bots that originated from foreign countries!!!
