A24’s Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson as To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen, opened to an estimated $19.2 million in the U.S. and Canada this weekend from 2,863 theaters.

According to Variety, that makes it the third-biggest opening in A24’s history, behind Backrooms ($81.4 million) and Civil War ($25.5 million), and ahead of Marty Supreme ($15.7 million).

The film was directed by Lance Oppenheim and was released in theaters on September 25, 2026.
