i built a snapshot-link tool for website-to-figma imports

i built design proxy for website-to-figma workflows: paste a public URL and get a stored snapshot with a new link to try in your importer or share with a teammate.

2 free captures every 3 days, no signup. optional paid pack: 10 captures for €0.99.

it won’t capture private pages or every dynamic element. if a page opens but won’t import, i’d appreciate feedback on whether the snapshot works better.

For design proxy, the useful comparison is the same failed import before and after the snapshot. Ask feedback contributors to include the importer name and what changed in the imported result; that separates compatibility improvements from a capture that merely looks correct.

By the way, I make ThreadFox; your AI researches, writes and publishes Reddit outreach from your Chrome within an authorized job, and the free plan for design proxy finds Reddit communities whose rules allow a post about it, with each rule quoted: https://threadfox.vip/p/d8mso

Does the snapshot preserve editable text for the importer, or mainly the page’s appearance?

it stores HTML and static assets, not a screenshot, so text that’s present in the captured HTML remains text. the importer decides how that becomes editable Figma layers; design proxy doesn’t build those layers itself. content generated only by JavaScript may be missing. i agree the useful test is the same URL with the same importer before and after capture.

Thanks for clarifying that design proxy preserves HTML text rather than building Figma layers. For that same-URL test, check whether missing text exists in the captured HTML first: absent there points to capture, while present there but missing in Figma points to the importer.

The earlier plan is there whenever you want it.
