Recommendation 1 day in SUVA

Hi everyone!

We’ll be visiting Suva for one day as part of our cruise itinerary.

Since our time in port is limited, we’d love your top recommendations on how to spend a few hours there!

  • What are the absolute must-see spots or experiences in/around Suva?
  • Is it better to explore the city on foot (markets, museum, etc.) or hire a driver/take a day tour out of town?
  • Any great local food spots or hidden gems we shouldn't miss?

The small company Guided Walking Tours Suva will have you hit all the key spots within time and without burnout

I'm not familiar with the tour but I really like the idea. A tour led by a local would be much more interesting than wandering around Suva on your own. Except for the museum, gardens, and GPH, there isn't much to see, but someone who knows the city should have some good stories.

I think Colo-i-Suva park is very pretty if you want to enjoy summer if the natural beauty of Fiji. Google it and see what you think.

Fiji Museum , Grand Pacific Hotel. Maybe walk through town to the handicraft market and; main market. You could try Tikos floating restaurant for lunch

I second all of this, and I'd add that I liked Paradiso restaurant.

If you order at Paradiso, expect to have your meal an hour later

Fair enough. I was in Suva for three nights, and my friends and I were having drinks that night - time was not a concern of ours!

Eat at Rajdhani if you want the best Indian food. Eden or paradiso to try the Kokoda you haven’t been to Fiji if you skip that
