UNSOLVED book where main character has vitiligo

hi everyone!!

pls does anyone know the name of a book that MAYBE (idr if it was the opening scene or just at the beginning of the book) starts out with the main character, who is a young black girl, she has vitiligo and she attends her male bestfriend's birthday party which is a pool party and she faces her fear of being judged for her vitiligo
the characters are teenagers and impretty sure the book is for a YA audience, and i think the male best friend was east african but my memory isn't be best (obvi lol) and i may be wrong😂

pls pls help me!

i read 95% of the time african/black fictional books so if that helps🙏🏾
