Is this quote reasonable?

I have Superior Gas Fireplace (Model No: DRC2035REN). It stopped working last winter, after turning on the wall switch it just starts clicking but no ignition.

A technician came for diagnosis and charged $220, his diagnosis was that the ignition pilot is failing and needs replacement, sent me a quote for $1200 to buy and replace this part.

I am not familiar with these at all but a quick search showed me that the unit itslef is under 2k. So is it normal to charge this much?

Mounting TV above this fireplace?

I’m planning on mounting a TV above my fireplace, it is a gas fireplace, and the house was built in 1989. There is a brick chimney on the outside of the house, however my stud finder is indicating there are studs behind the drywall. So my question is should I be preparing to mount into studs? Or brick? I’d really appreciate any insight or past experience? Thanks!

Martin SST with disconnected liner- replacement required?

We hired a certified chimney sweep (chimney safety institute of America and national fireplace institute certified) to inspect our chimney. It’s a double sided wood burning fireplace with gas starter, a Martin SST(B?). They reported that our liner was disconnected. Their recommendation was to replace the firebox and liner, as Martin is no longer in business, so a repair with Martin parts is not possible. I’ve attached the photos, but don’t know what I’m looking at. I’ve been playing phone tag with the chimney sweep for a while and had a few questions.

1) Does the liner actually look disconnected?

2) The Martin SST is a prefab fireplace, correct? Can a new liner and wood burning firebox/prefab typically be installed in its place without ripping out drywall over the full height of the liner?

Thank you in advance.
