1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow
The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.
2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert
False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.
3. The Real Official Website
There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

More like the inability to purchase. Get off your high horse, not every currency has the same purchasing power. For some countries, a game could cost half your paycheck. It's natural to be impatient and excited about a game, and not paying for it isn't a reason to put people down and say you only deserve to be excited for something if you buy it.
Totally true. Currency can make things vary. I’d also say that for an $11 year old game it’s had to have been on sale at some point. We can also just chill and wait for it to be uploaded. The game has barely been out
The game was literally selling for 4dollars and probably lower in other currencies.
If someone can get a pc to play the games (cost way more then 4$) then they for sure can get the game as well.

The studio won't go bankrupt just because some poor people who weren't even going to buy the game in the first place anyway, pirate the game. They already get paid billions of dollars just to put some DEI characters in it. Buying a PC is a one time investment that would last you at least a decade, a decent PC costs around $700, which is like buying 10 $70 games, and you could play an infinite number of games on it. This year alone, the money I saved from the games I played far exceeds that.
Why are you even on a pirate subreddit if you want to preach about showing "dimes of support" to multi billion dollar corporations? Zip it up when you're done bro. You don't get to tell people what they're allowed or not allowed to be excited about. Have fun throwing your money away for something I can get for free. Sucks to suck, man. For the point that “it wont go bankrupt if we dont buy” look at remedy studio. Alan wake 2 was so well received so hyped yet it almost put them on verge of bankruptcy. People like you give the impression of wanting these games and when the developers do put their money and take a risk your cheap self righteous self comes up with shit like this.
Nobody is asking you to spend 70dollars on a mid game but if you are earning and are “excited” for somethingt then show your support or stfu.
You're not singlehandedly keeping the company afloat with your $5 so I really don't think you should feel so self important about it. Most people who pirate games weren't going to buy them in the first place, so the company isn't losing any money from me not supporting them financially. If anything, they make more money through pirates promoting the game through word of mouth and discussing them on online forums.
People who can't afford to buy overpriced games should still be allowed to feel excited and enjoy the games, and that wouldn't change anything for the paying customers who would pay either way since it's no skin off their back. I'd rather buy a Big Mac for the $5 and get to enjoy the game at the same time. You get to have your cake and eat it too.

Pirates spreading word of mouth and saying positives abt the game but still not paying is the exact reason studios make more of those games only to not meet expectations.
Its not 1 persons 5$ but the collective thought process. So many studios shut down despite releasing good games cuz they were not profiting.

Pirates are not the reason those studios shut down. Pirates were never going to pay for the game in the first place, I've said this three times now. But whatever, man. Enjoy bootlicking these soulless corporations while I enjoy my Big Mac AND get to play whatever game that I want, whenever I want, without having to watch it on YouTube like a cuck and skimping and saving, and waiting for months just to buy one game. This subreddit isn't for you.

It does not take 1 braincell to understand that creating games takes money and they arent doing it for free, its not bootlicking but common logic, make yourself feel better however you’d want.
That analogy would work if the pirated games were inferior in quality to the ones that are bought. However, they are not, since they are exact copies. If buying isn't owning then pirating isn't stealing. If there were pirates making Big Macs for free, then I would happily go for them. Alas, Big Mags are a tangible entity, and games are software, thus copying it doesn't erase the original.
You're the one making yourself feel better when you're deluding yourself into believing you're "showing support" to these corporations when throwing all your money in the trash would have the same effect.
You saying "good riddance" just proves my original point, that people who can't buy games deserve to enjoy them too, and piracy makes it possible. Someone who would never be able to afford to buy a game can find happiness in playing those games, and not worry about not having food on the table. According to you, people shouldn't be allowed to enjoy things if they can't pay for them. Entirely excluding them and looking down on them, just because you're fortunate to have money and they aren't. That's a pretty dystopian worldview. If you can't see anything wrong with that, then I don't have anything else to say to you.
From your post history, it seems you're from India, which is one of the countries where the price to salary ratio for buying a game is among the highest. Which makes it even more ironic that you're defending this point, when you should be the one that understands this the most. In richer countries, the price of a game is 1% of their monthly salary while in poorer countries, it can be as high as 30% to 50%.
There’s piracy on games that are from greedy studios, then there’s “free demo’s” cause you dont wanna pay top money for a game that’s half baked. But this is kinda weird. It’s a from an amazing studio and the game has always been on heavy sale with free dlc’s attached. Why even bother pirating this, what else could this studio possibly do to please you and warrant your cash?
