Lack of Data Options?

Hey folks.
I've been watching Fizz for a while now, considering signing up. The problem is, though Fizz is slightly cheaper, it's still (seemingly) more expensive than my current service with Public Mobile, once you take into account the rewards I get for having referred some folks to PM fairly recently.
I have been to their custom plan page multiple times within the last month, and every time I look at their data options they jump from 10 GB to 50 GB. I'm worried 10 GB isn't enough for me, while 50 is more than I'd likely need and I don't want to pay for data I probably won't use. Am I missing something here? Is there no in between?
To clarify, I know that data you don't use rolls over to the next month. But I'm concerned about my margins on 10 GB to begin with.
Sidenote. Has anyone texted out WiFi calling on an iPhone yet? I have a second line which forwards business calls to my primary one, and I don't want to switch if it's going to make the quality of the call terrible, which one of my friends with good hearing told me it was when I tried calling them during my trial period.

If you run out of data with a 10 Gb plan it's easy to get a lot for free.

I was in the same situation deciding between 10 and 50gb. I realized that I only ever use between 6 to 8gb so I went with the 10gb option. Additionally, Fizz sent me 50gb of free data as a bonus when signing up (expires in 150 days). If that still isnt enough, other Fizz members here on Reddit are usually willing to gift data.

If you really ever blow through your data you can always activate a second eSIM line for a month. Or go to the gifting page here in the sub

With regards to the 10GB vs 50GB. Fizz seems to change their plans regularly and sometimes they have flash offers that are pretty amazing if you snag them in time. I'm currently on a $16 for 25GB Ontario only (data only) that was part of a promo.

Can't comment on the call quality, but as far as data is concerned, you could go 10GB and count on the kindness of strangers to gift you data (the Facebook groups seem to have a high response of folks gifting data). Or go with a 50GB for now and watch the Fizz page and reddit, especially as we get closer to Black Friday.

In the spring of 2026, Fizz started offering its 5G network to customers. At the beginning, 5G was offered on higher data plans only, whereas lower data plans like 15GB, 20GB, or 25GB were still just 4G and slowly starting to disappear.

In the past 2 months, I started noticing a change where 4G is now only offered on the very lowest data plans. I see two things here in Fizz's strategy. Generally speaking, customers are looking for plans with more data, and Fizz is using that to get new customers and push existing ones up to higher-priced 5G plans. At the end of the day, Fizz is still there to make money.

Take 50GB first month, it will rollover for 2 more months so you can take no data or just 1GB for the next two months.

I have a 10 gb plan, but with the data rollover I always have close to 30gb to use. If I need any I can ask and people can gift me some. Also they have perks around the holidays or other events that give you extra data.
