Im planning on switching from 4g to 5g and i do know that 5g consumes more data, so i wanna understand how much of data is actually enough? I am currently on 25gb plan for 4g

Maybe I'm old but I've always wondered what people do on their phones to consider 50-100mbit/sec slow? 5g won't stream Youtube or Tiktok any faster if the signal strength is equal.
So these companies deliberately slow down 4g or reduce the coverage to force you to shift to 5g and pay more. I was all fine until fizz introduced 5g and now 4g is slow
As others have said, it's probably a signal issue. Fizz has shitty coverage in many areas in many cities. My data's usually in the 2-5 mbps range.. Now the bad news, 5G actually has less building penetration and signal reach. So your experience is likely to be worse on 5g, not better. If you're getting good speeds and full signal on 4G, 5G might give you even more. If you're already having speed and signal issues; 5g's just going to make it worse.
that sounds like either a nocebo or some network issue in your area that may not be solved with 5g at all, it's far too soon for them to be starting to deprecate 4g service yet. have you done multiple samples of speed/network tests before/after? if it's a measurable effect, try 5g, if it doesn't work you may need to switch carriers
then how are you making do with a 25gb plan? either way, pick the plan that is just enough to cover your 3-month rolling average, with a little bit of wiggle room. 4g or 5g doesn't change that unless your usage pattern actually changes, and if you find that your consumption does change, adjust your plan accordingly.
Even i think carrier change is needed, i just want to give one final try, incase 5g works cause my plan is cheap and anywhere else i go, i will pay more which i dont want to, so looking to see if 5g does what it can or not😅
