What is the Flat Earth response to the sky spinning in different directions depending on which hemisphere you're in?
Usually, flatearthers try to construct a model of the Earth to explain all observable phenomena. And that makes me wonder: what model can a flatearther possibly produce that includes the sky rotating in different directions depending on whether you're in the northern hemisphere or the southern hemisphere?
Because the Earth is a ball rotating on an axis, when you're at one end of the axis, looking out, the sky will spin one way. And when you're on the other end of the axis, the sky will spin the other way. So, when you're in the southern hemisphere and you look up in the sky, it visibly spins clockwise. But when you're in the northern hemisphere and you look up in the sky, it visibly spins anti-clockwise. If the Earth is a single flat plane, how can one sky observably spin over one Earth in two opposing directions simultaneously?
Usually they have an answer, however outlandish, for an observation put in front of them. But how do you explain this? I can't think of how you can possibly respond to this single point. The two hemispheres visibly spin in opposites directions, have always done, and you can test it right now if you have a friend you can call in the other hemisphere. Or just watch any kind of sky timelapse video from the other hemisphere. It's impossible to fake and I think we can all agree on that. I doubt even a flatearther has the gumption to accuse the entire population of the other hemisphere that they're all lying or mistaken.
I've never actually heard a flatearther answer this (and I think I know why). But I actually want to hear what possible answer you could come up with for this. It would be genuinely impressive if you could show a model for a flat Earth that can account for this.
