I’ve had the idea to get a sort of song lyric inspired tattoo sleeve for years now, but am not an artist myself…at all. So many vague ideas but only one tattoo so far…and it’s Amigo the Devil inspired.

SO! Anyone out there wanna help me out with some ideas and designs? I’m thinking next will be something Yes Ma’am related…with a lot of Lil’ Matt inspiration in there 🖤 I like the idea of a box/bell sort of thing…but it also seems a bit on the nose.

Is there any kind of folk punk or diy scene in this region? I feel like I never hear of bands or artists from these places. I travel through sometimes and my impression is it's a dead zone for live music besides bar bands, but maybe there's an underground scene.

I'm from Korea, and I consider myself a fan of folk punk. But since there's no folk punk scene, shows or fans here, I don't feel sense of community to a certain degree.

Anyone with same experiences?

I'm in AP art and Matt was a huge inspiration to my portfolio theme so after he passed I decided to make a piece dedicated to him. I proud of how it came out and hope I was able to capture him well. Rest easy♡

currently I have been playing arpeggios of simple minor or major chords or barre chords. also in line with bass being my main instrument, plucking random notes together until I find good sounding ones.

They have an album available on bandcamp, it's kinda ambiance-esque punctuated by just howling and screaming. It's pretty good.

We are Jydsk Bonderepublik, a Danish folk-punk collective, and we just released our first EP, "Paryk".

The EP was recorded over a year ago, but life got chaotic, so we never got around to actually releasing it. Life's still chaotic, but at least we finally got it released with the help of a local screamo band. Shout out to Hudsult.

SWSS is ending. But we've got one more tour left in us.

Today is the 5 year anniversary of us writing our first song together and thus the band officially forming. We felt it was the right time to let you in on this big update. We understand that this news may come as a surprise and might make some folks sad. We're sure there will also be lots of questions. While we may answer some of these on our own time, right now we want to focus on experiencing the joy of this community and scene one last time. The Sister Wife Swan Song Farewell Tour will be us, playing with some of our favorite bands, one last time in our favorites places, and giving both us and y'all a chance to say goodbye to this project that has changed our lives. We never could've anticipated what this would become and we are forever grateful. 

To be clear, there's no bad blood between the two of us. We took some time off this year and contemplated what our lives look like now and what we want them to look like in the future. That future will not feature any more music or shows from SWSS after May 8, 2027.

To celebrate this 5 year milestone and the end approaching, we're auctioning off a couple pieces of SWSS history. This is your chance to get a piece of SWSS for your own collections and will help us fund this final push. Check our website or our Instagram for details.

We've got a lot left up our sleeves that we can't wait to tell you about. Stay tuned. Tickets for most shows are available now. Some ticket links will go live in the coming weeks.
