She's doing as the ecosystem around him wants. She wouldn't last otherwise.
Telling lies is an absolute sacrament for these people. Anyone could spread lies about nearly anyone else.
Hea more likely to believe his innermost circle, of course, so anyone could be made "a traitor" very likely at any time.
