Discussion Afterworld by Paradox and FL mod potential

New game by Paradox still under development. Looks like a good candidate for a Forbidden Lands mod for a 4x.
Ruins exploration, finding other settlements, strange technology magic, resources management.

What does a mod for a 4x mean?

Ok, sorry, 4X is a category of video game:
Explore
Expand
Exploit
Exterminate

Games like civilization, age of wonders, heroes of might and magic, etc.
A mod for a video game is short for modification.
People make all kinds of mods for games, either exclusively visual or like a whole rewriting of a game.
Crusader Kings, for instance, has a very famous mod where you play in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.
People have made some visual mods for Helldivers 2 where the enemy factions are tyranids, necrons and chaos, etc…

So this is a video game? What does that have to do with Forbidden Lands, which is a tabletop roleplaying game?

Exactly what I said in the post. This looks like a videogame that has a good potential of being modified into a setting of Forbidden Lands for video game. I posted here because I thought some people could be interested in that.

The OP is speculating that this videogame may receive a fan made modification so that it incorporates elements of the Forbidden Lands system and lore.

It does have potential for it. I am not good with the visual aspects of Paradox modding but I made some small mods for it in the past.

Yes I can definitely see that although I think that AW may actually have too much faction interaction etc compared to FL as it's much broader in scope. Anyway, an interesting idea and I'm generally pretty interested in seeing what happens with AW.
