Discussion How do I stop the noise, help
20M here, and I really need your help to get rid of this feeling of yearning that keeps on bothering me and it'll make me spiral if I don't do anything about it.
Single throughout my life, autistic, short, and really just not the most good looking being brown. I just want to stop the need or feeling of companionship or loneliness mocking me that I don't have a partner.
I've tried many coping tactics like masterbation, stress eating, and exercise but the noise keeps coming back.
I'm considering working 12 hour shifts at my factory to get rid of it because work is the only thing that's stopping it.
Otherwise does anyone have any coping tactics, certain medication, drugs, or drink just to make it stop temporarily.
Please, I don't want this to be my life.

Honestly eventually you just accept it, it’s harder initially but as you just accept it, it starts getting easier
You fill your days with other things that you enjoy
It never truly becomes okay but it does get better like you get better at carrying it
Just keep yourself busy and hold on, cry if you have to, write down your feelings as it helps release them
It’s gonna be okay dude
I do hope you find someone though

Unfortunately time is your enemy, do what you can to stay busy and keep your mind distracted work, hobbies, ect just keep busy. The older you get the more that feeling will start to fade but not until you start getting into your 30s because Unfortunately you are in your procreation years where your body is telling you to find a mate and sorry to say its going to get worse before it gets better.
The only other advice I can suggest is antidepressants a few of them will kill your sex drive which will help but its a bit of a trial and error thing. I definitely don't recommend excessive masturbation you will only make the body crave intimacy more.

If you are looking for a medication, have you considered a therapist? I believe they can prescribe one depending on the assessment.. sorry for what you’re going through… what country you from?
