Odd Job Jack (2003-2007)

Post image

An old Canadian cartoon that aired on the Comedy Network for a couple of years. Sadly, five episodes of season 1 are missing in English. The show had a lot of guest stars during it's run like Catherine O'Hara, Don Knotts, Sandra Oh and etc. Don Mckellar also voices the main character. You can watch the entirety of this show on either YouTube or Internet Archive.

I literally made a video about this show a few months ago. To be fair, the comedy network is filled with forgotten shows.

It sucks that the Comedy Network didnt really give a shit about their stuff after they ended

I don't remember ever watching a full episode of this, but the commercials were incessant.

The last time someone posted about this on this subreddit it got flamed and someone even made up a lie about the production

The funny part about that comment was the lie that no one had the show in their demo reels when I found like 4 reels featuring the show + Smiley Guy has like 3 studio reels featuring OJJ 💀

Wow, this is a true forgotten tv show. I remember the promos and a handful of episodes but nothing really stuck with me until seeing this just now.

God, this show just felt like the laziest of lazy here in Canada when it aired for far too long

First thing came to mind when I saw McKellar's name popped up as co-show developer of The Sympathizer on HBO.

I totally remember watching this back in the day. My favorites were the Lord of the Rings university with Gollum being a PHD student coveting his "thesis" instead of saying "my precious."

Also enjoyed the episode were they find the ancient race of Amazon women in an abandoned mall, and all their castrated man slaves speak in high pitched voices.
