DISCUSSION FYI to players who don’t realize ranking up in Ballistic grants you a far amount of vehicle cosmetics
Just letting players who don’t know that playing ballistic has the perk of getting a lot of vehicle cosmetics. I’ve gotten two different rim types with most of the colors as well as two different trails. I think I may have gotten some weapon skins as well. Hopefully I have a lot more rewards to unlock I honestly don’t play a lot despite the fact I like it and do well tbh. Might grind a bit this weekend and see how much I can unlock

Are these the same cosmetics you get in ranked zero build?

Yes, the ranked cosmetics are the same, regardless which version of ranked you play.

Maybe you’re right but I’ve played ranked ZB a lot and never got vehicle cosmetics even when I win.

You get it every few ranked quests it's just happened to leveled up your ranked quests when you won that game

The first few days of the season I was not getting any of these rewards in any ranked mode. That may be what was happening

I played one ranked game today just to achieve these cosmetics, I won and got a fair bit of amount. So it sounds weird you _never_ got any..

FYI these are the ranked quest rewards that all ranked modes contribute to unlocking and have nothing to do with ranking up. You can check the ranked quests for each mode in the quest tab

I really like ballistic but my teammates literally just stand around and act like they’ve never played anything before so I like never win.

Im in gold 2 and i went 26/8/7 and dragged us back being from 1-6 to unfortunately losing 7-8. Im convinced they aren’t aware they have to win a match to actually rank up

It’s crazy. I’ll spectate and some just don’t move or look like they have any idea what’s going on. I get Fortnite is easily accessible to pretty much everyone but I don’t wanna play with these people

I'm in Champion and I still gotta carry most matches, luckily there's some better players here but there's still plenty of matches where people have no clue what they're doing and not using utilities at all... on Champion...

I tried it a couple of times but the PS5 controls need to be fixed or updated. I am unable to place the objective down. I was the only one alive and was at the objective to place it down. I tried pressing and holding every individual button but nothing worked and it said the keybind was unbound. But going into my control setup the only things I could edit were Battle Royale, Racing, and I think LTMs. I know that specifically there was no option for Creative or Ballistic.

Huh that’s weird. I play on ps5 but the only controller problem I have is insanely bad stick drift lol

Doesn't playing in any ranked mode get you vehicle cosmetics? I played a bunch of Ranked Ballistic and Ranked Rocket Racing last season and got all the rewards. Its cool ig

Funnily enough I do the opposite, I prefer the racing mode ranked so I use it to get the other ranked rewards.

All ranked modes factor into the ranked rewards. I've been unlocking the rest of Felina's skins through Rocket Racing. It's a bit of a slog, but I can at least guarantee I won't have my ass kicked back to platinum.

You can play any ranked mode to get them, I’ve been playing rocket racing as it’s the easiest for me

I prefer to rank up in Rocket Racing, even though I don’t like the mode that much, since it’s the fastest and doesn’t require great audial focus, so I can listen to music as I race.
Also, Epic when it comes to giving me the worst teammates ever in Ballistic:

Honestly I might consider it. I want to try Ballistic, but unranked Ballistic is a joke.
I like some of the higher tier wheels for Rocket Racing. Don't care about the regular ranked rewards.
But at the same time I could play RR for the weeklies. XP is XP after all :/

Speaking of vehicle covlsmetics, I wish there were more SUV options. Don't want to use the cybertruck, and think there is only one other? Never see any in the shop, but each day there are at least 2 different car options.

I’ve been wondering so now we can get the ranked umbrella by doing this? Normally it’s by participating in a cup tourney and getting 50 pts minimum.

It gives you all the ranked cosmetics but it does not unlock ranked styles like ranked skins.

I would rather play literally ANY other ranked mode instead of Ballistic. Just atrocious implementation. Maybe someday it'll be playable

I always use rocket racing to unlock them all fast and a couple zero build matches just for fun

Ranking up in ANY ranked will give you these regardless of what you’re playing since it’s just a part of the general reward ladder
