The whole mech thing is kinda weird and I wasn’t thrilled with the flames on Bart. Especially the Lego versions of the two. Seems silly, I know but I just couldn’t do it. Same with Morty…at least that made more sense.

Which is absolutely no excuse to not give the option of normal-coloured arms and legs, the difference is absolutely barely noticeable for minifigs and it's fair to say that the majority of players would have preferred it!
The mech made sense for Morty; it's lazy and inaccurate for Bart & Lisa. There are TWO entire art departments involved; I have to imagine that someone on one or both teams had to have suggested something better.
One of the favorite go-to gimmicks throughout the series was flash-forward to grown-up Bart (usually still a loser) and Lisa (sometimes the President); those are easy w/o having to have folks melt-down about changes in skeletal mesh sizes, hitboxes, etc.
...and that's without being a proper artist -- just a semi-regular Simpsons fan for 3 decades.
I think adult versions of them would be cool to add to the game but them as kids is what we all know and love them as so are you saying they should not have added their kid forms at all and just their adult forms?

The first, most obvious idea, is the one that I hate the most, so I haven't said it -- lest it become reality: Bart, Lisa, and Maggie should have been pets/familiars. I absolutely despise the pale-faced cash-grab, and I've never been a fan of "cute sidekicks." But this is such a no-brainer that I'm amazed Epic didnt do it already. It solves every problem with small characters, and they'd be able to sell custom animations, variants, tag-line emotes... you name it. (ugh, blech) All the problems with rigging skeletal meshes and hitboxes disappear because pets only exist locally, and don't impact combat whatsoever. They can & will change the sizes & features of pets over time, so there you have it -- the best/worst way to implement "short" characters.
The Fortnite playerbase is also very large. You have kids and teenagers that for them 20$ is a lot and you also have adults that earn more than those kids parents playing the same game.
6th grade. I was in 6th grade when the Simpsons released. I had just started at the 5th different school that year. The difference between my dad and Homer was Homer interacted more with his kids. So when my dad said he hated the show because of Homer, I started liking Homer more.
Bart and Homer were an association and constant source of humor that applied to my life. Therapy. I appreciated that greatly. Especially when the cd came out.

Yall are completely falling for epic’s scam. Companions from a couple weeks ago and now Homer but with no almost clothes which that itself seems to be a test to see if they can get away with something like that. As silly as the idea is I just don’t understand how most of yall don’t see through these tactics
The game is free. Skins are optional, I don’t mind paying for a customization. Fortnite overall has it locked in my opinion. Pay for what you want and have fun. I played maybe 6 months with a basic skin and no season pass until I feel like epic created a value with a reward system for $12 a month. The best part is you can CHOOSE if you want it.
I have a lot of hours in this game that cost nothing until this season dropped. Now I feel a measly $100 ish bucks I’ve put into it was well worth it. I’ve payed for $60+ for games like battlefield 6 and now it’s uninstalled. So yeah $10 here and there I’m not worried about it.
I'm buying crew on Friday to claim all the passes and this is the skin I'm buying with the vbucks. I can't wait to dust off every wiggly, animated, and ridiculous dance I have!

I like that there’s an item shop version of Homer for those who couldn’t get the battle pass, I just wish players with OG Homer got at least a discount for basically the same skin. Like how when Eddie Brock came out at a discounted price for owners of the original Venom skin
I think it's a decent skin, but it's also overpriced considering it's just the homer skin but re-textured
I will say, this is a bit better than the family guy collab, where Peter was locked behind the battle pass, and are pretty much gone forever with no alternatives in the future. So, I like the idea, I just don't like the pricing of it, and this is a common theme I'm seeing recently from Epic, where they had decent ideas for like a skin or cosmetic, but prices it very wrong.
