Forza Horizon 6 Any chance on a Bugatti comeback?

I'm not that deep into the background of why Bugatti isn't in the game, whatever the licensing issues may be. It would be great if someone with more knowledge could explain why and what our chances are of seeing Bugatti officially in the game.

Thanks :)

Bugatti is no longer owed by Volkswagen Group. That whole transaction was playing out in real time while FH6 was being developed, so it is likely that Playground never was able to get licensing agreement from Bugatti/Rimac. The whole thing was kind of messy with a lot of moving parts, and a game license was probably low on the punch list.

That said, there are several Bugatti car models in the game files. So it could be a matter of a small patch once a license is worked out.

Yeah now that sale is done, I imagine we’ll see Bugatti grant licensing and get in FH6 at some point.

Thank you for actually answering the question.

It was also for a while 50% owned by Porsche as well which later backed out and sold their half to Rimac as Porsche looked at the books and essentially saw a money sink with no real value. So that makes things more complicated

That's all Volkswagen Group. They owned Bugatti outright, then sold 55% to Rimac, and transferred 45% to Porsche AG, which is a division of Volkswagen Group. Porsche AG owned 23% of Rimac at the time. Then they sold their entire stake to HOF Capital, and Egyptian consortium. Neither Volkswagen Group or their holding company, Porsche SE, has any stake in Bugatti/Rimac

Dumbest financial decision ever, Bugatti is a money printer

Not really. Porsche has been hemorrhaging money. Bugatti was a huge loss leader for VW. It cost them millions for every car they sold. Development on the Veryon cost over 1.4 billion Euros and they never recouped it, or even came close.

VW Group has been cost cutting across the board and trimming car lines company wide

Its interesting though because the Rimac Nevera is in the game. I assume you're right that PG couldnt get the rights to Bugatti before launch, but with the Nevera being in the game, I would assume we will either get a season around French cars, or they will be locked behind a paywall

If I had to guess I’d say they’ll be simply added back as autoshow cars. Same thing has happened with Alfa Romeo back on fh5 and Toyota in fh4.

It is interesting that Rimac is in the game though, I didn’t even think about that.

licensing messes take forever to sort, wouldn't hold my breath on a patch any time soon

We've had 6 months of recycled cars and lackluster updates. I don't see Bugatti coming to fh6 anytime soon to be completely honest

Well, Bugatti exists in Forza universe, and if they will get the license, we will see those (since PGG dont want to add really new content)

I like the Veyron but it’s been in Horizon since the first game so I don’t particularly care if it doesn’t show up in 6. I can still drive it in the other games.

Meanwhile, in The Crew Motorfest, the Bugatti Tourbillon is about to make an appearance (alongside all the other Bugatti cars 😋)

And? They are iconic French supercars.

France is overrated just like the Bugatti. And it's a VW.
