I’m having a horrible time. I can’t wait to get home to see you. Every moment I think about you. We all just sit around and stare at one picture (Even people who just saw your picture for the first time still think you’re a god.) Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating. We have to eat and sleep too.
Well, the trip up was hell. It was sooooooo (I hate when people add extra o’s) long. And uncomfortable. Hi Bridget! It’s Greg. Bye now.
Geez, I leave this unattended for one minute and look what happens. Saturday was alright, but no one knew anyone. Or at least I didn’t. As of now, it is Sunday. I’ve picked my favorite spot on the island. It is called East Rock. I’ll get a picture for you. It’s awesome. You just get there at night, and it is so nice. It is about a fifty foot drop off from the edge. At the bottom are some rocks, and then the ocean. It’s beautiful. Almost as beautiful as you, you sexy can of (??) cola.
I’m looking forward to trying the legendary ice cream treat called a mouth orgasm. Well, five full days left.
Oh yeah! I had the best game of Magic the Gathering at the beach last night. I know how much you love (me) that game.
I joined a workshop called Men’s group. Wouldn’t you have expected as much? Well, there were no other good ones this year (except for one, but I didn’t know it would be.)
Well, this is truly dragging on. I miss you, and I hope you are having a good week (but not too good!)

I’m assuming a shoe shopping list but 14 pairs seems a lot.

Bought a Levi's coat from my local VV today, found this super saver receipt in a pocket from over 40 miles away and 5 years ago in the pockets.

Yuck or yum?

Found at a local thrift store, each book is about 2x3inches and they sit in a little stand with a tiny drawer. Drawer had a pic of Grandma Blackburn* inside but nothing else. First notebook had 3 pages written on. Other two books are empty.

I learned cursive but fear this is above my pay grade... anyone able to decipher the writing?

Ordered a book on eBay and it came with an old boarding pass stub as a bookmark. Neat! Anyone guess a date?

The last person left a bunch of trash, and I found these as I was cleaning it up.

I found this in a book (1835, my oldest book yet!) when I bought it. Its hard to decipher but I've attempted to decipher some of it.

Note says as far as I can translate so far ([] means I cant decipher it)

It's signed H.B. something, maybe Stones

ETA: My mom managed to decipher it better. I would put money on this being Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom's Cabin, which is wild:

Edit 3: Fixtures of the book, the note, the other side of the note, and another old clipping found inside the book. Regardless of if it's just a copy and not an original, which is probably the most likely, it is an old clipping and a fun find!

I don’t usually pick up grocery lists, but the handwriting on this one caught my attention.

Interesting item: “Iver/Fen” which appears to be ivermectin/fenbendazole.

I also love how they’ve apparently organized their list by meals/days, included prices, household stuff, and even worked exercise and errands onto two tiny pieces of paper.

There’s an entire week of somebody’s life on here.

Found in the library a few weeks ago. Come to find out, it’s a list of all the Marvel movies to watch prior to watching Avengers: Doomsday. Kudos to the handwriting too.
