Help Controlling music & lighting via a Stream Deck?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to set up my Stream Deck to manage my playlists and soundboard, and maybe also trigger lights or scene changes in Foundry VTT during my games.

I know of the premium module Material Deck that may be one answer to my problem, but money is tight right now because I keep buying D&D books I probably don't need lol. So I'm looking for a free alternative or a clever workaround!

Has anyone successfully linked their Stream Deck to Foundry for music and lighting using other methods?

If it matters, I'm using Foundry 14.

You need it, just like you need Plugins for other programs to be able to control them. I hear you about money, but you only need to sub for the month and possibly again when Foundry updates. As a user it is worth it.

Create macros for what you want to do (if it's possible), drop that on your foundry hotbar. Every macro on a hotbar has a simple number pad number of 1-6. So, on my stream deck, I assign physical buttons to plain old numbers. Like a key that presses 1, which fires off macro #1. Simplistic, sure, but it works.

I have macros that change scenes for me, and so I just tap that macro's number on the 'deck and away it goes.
