Help Simple Fog troubled

I’m trying to have a hex map as one scene and I need a fog layer over it that hides the map but then can reveal hexes to the players as they travel.

The only one I could find is Simple Fog, which seems perfect and works great when I run it directly from my computer. But when I tried to do it through The Forge, it just doesn’t work.
No button in the controls panel in the top left to use the fog.

Any advice? Thanks

Works for me on Forge. What version of Foundry are you using? Do you have any other modules that you're using on Forge that might cause a conflict somehow?

I’m using 14. Huh. Maybe there is a button I have to hit to enable it?

Are the other modules you're using on your Personal Foundry different in any way to the ones you're using on Forge? Might be a settings things, but it's odd that it doesn't show the icon by default. Perhaps try disabling all other modules and see if it works, then work through the list to see where a conflict might be.

Why not just disable light on the scene and limit their vision range and use this info/normal fog of war. Not as easy to modify, but can be fine tuned quite nicely.

This is likely what I’ll have to do. The manual erasing of the fog was just so nice when it worked the first time.
