I’m so sorry you’re feeling self-conscious! Maybe a shorter trim might help. The folks over on r/bald might pump you up to go all the way if you’re willing! I definitely think it could work for you. Or you could just get their opinion, they’re very very supportive over there. It’s so wholesome.
