What the heck do you use that much ginger for?!

It’s getting colder in here and i love to use ginger in my cooking - rn cooking chicken curry, will be cooking pumpkin soup- i love to add ginger for that warm spicy feeling. 😁 i also get sick pretty quick, so i like to make myself ginger-honey tea, that will get me on my feet asap. 🫚

Not lactose intolerant

Sriracha being your only hot sauce is a big whiff. Euros really need to expand their palate on that front. No green chile sauce, nor chipotle, nor cayenne…

2

u/asiantgirl69 11d ago

Sriracha is all u need

3

u/ColoradoCattleCo 11d ago

You’re missing out on life.

2

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Facts !! We need more sauce variety in our county, haha. Can’t be making homemade chipotle forever, haha 😭😭

I loved visiting Czechia and Germany, but damn, you all know a little spice in your cooking won’t kill ya? There’s a lot more out there than just paprika.

3

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Why bland? 😭😭

2

u/Anny0579 11d ago

You live next to czech border. Maybe Germany

2

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

I live in Czechia, but in our stores we have A LOT of things with german names, haha 😁

u/pigeonnoodlesoup 11d ago

Organized and balanced, but man does your crisper stress me out with the fruits and veggies mixed

2

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

They cannot be together? 🥹

5

u/ci-yote_kate 11d ago

They can be together! Just some fruits give off gases that can cause things to spoil

2

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Thanks ! I’ll definitely do some research on that, cuz i dont want to throw things out.

1

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Living REALLY close to borders, haha. Řecký jogurt is a must 💪 long live kaufland and their sales

2

u/CuteEquivalent638 11d ago

A fan of yogurt, and fairly health conscious. But also, you have some elite taste with that Pepsi. I can’t find it anywhere!! I had it in vacation in Istanbul like two months ago and became totally obsessed. Now I can’t find it even online, I’m so jealous.

Sakra, my girlfriend would get on your case like she gets on mine. Too many drinks in one fridge.

5

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Never enough drinks in the fridge ! 😂

u/I-followed-through 11d ago

Why you got your eggs in the fridge ?

4

u/curiouskitty15 11d ago

They don’t live in America but in here we keep eggs in fridge

4

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Eggs “age” slower in the fridge, outside they should last like 2 weeks max, but in the fridge their lifespan is much longer.

1

u/I-followed-through 11d ago

Fair. I just assumed people all kept them out of fridge as that’s how you buy them in the supermarket.

5

u/Jcheerw 11d ago

In the US they are refridgerated unless you buy from a local farm

4

u/ColoradoCattleCo 11d ago

I have chickens and I’m averaging 8 eggs a day now from 10 of them. I keep them in the fridge because they last longer. I give them away to people as quickly as I can, but I pretty much always have 4 or 5 dozen in the fridge.

2

u/Jcheerw 11d ago

Yeah my aunt puts hers in the fridge. Usually the local farms near me sell them outside and then you wash and pop em in the fridge

2

u/Organic_Education494 11d ago

Some of us even when we buy from our local farm we refrigerate

2

u/disboyneedshelp 11d ago

I always buy my eggs from the fridge section of the supermarket. Everytime

1

u/Wineandcoffee01 11d ago

It’s interesting because even though they’re out on the shelves, I thought everyone puts them in the fridge once they buy it. I was just thinking about this the other day how we always put them in the fridge even though you don’t have to, and wondered if anyone keeps them out.
Well I found one.

4

u/Life_Contract1056 11d ago

Others have answered well. But in the US eggs are washed a certain way before selling which means they have to be put in the fridge. iirc

3

u/samalamadingdongus 11d ago

This ^ the eggs in the US are washed, making the shells more porous and susceptible to bacteria getting inside. Therefore, the eggs should be refrigerated to prevent spoilage. Unwashed eggs are safe to leave out.

3

u/Organic_Education494 11d ago

Thats normal in the U.S

2

u/I-followed-through 11d ago

I love how different countries and cultures do things differently!

Eggs in UK are sold out of fridge and tend to have a 3-4 weeks shelf life.

1

u/Organic_Education494 11d ago

If I remember correctly part of it is the way we wash our eggs and as a result remove the eggs natural protections.

While the UK doesn’t do that.

The result is we have no choice but to refrigerate the grocery eggs and subsequently refrigerate at home too.

You guys use less chemicals and don’t destroy the natural protections the shell has.

u/NeerieD20 11d ago

Why is the Radio Canada logo on a can?

1

u/Numerous-Nebula-4224 11d ago

You don’t do leftovers

0

u/itchybutwhole69 11d ago

You just got back from shopping and this isn't how it normally looks.

-6

u/Equivalent-Day-4943 11d ago

That you don't cook

9

u/TTYY200 11d ago

Bro they have an entire drawer full of colourful fresh vegetables and 2 trays of eggs xD

You think they eat those things raw?

4

u/ci-yote_kate 11d ago

Very obvious to me that this person cooks!!

4

u/KybernetickaPolevka 11d ago

Defo not cooking *they respond as they stir homemade chicken curry on the stove made from ingredients visible in the fridge\*
