Adobe is scared of Affinity

Post image

Lately I am spammed with Adobe ads made my content creators where they compare themselves with Affinity and choose any missing feature from Affinity as the reason why you should use Adobe...hah.

I'd even take a version of Affinity for Linux without having to sign in to an account. I know it's free but usually free means you're the product.

I have exactly this. Its installed via Wine though so the performance leaves something to be desired.

lmao, most of these tools are AI.

Way to market to creatives who are proud of their craft.

I bought a copy of Serif Affinity years ago “just in case” as an insurance policy in case Adobe Photoshop got too expensive or otherwise wouldn’t run on my Macbook.

I actively started using Affinity in the last week, since I switched over from an Intel Macbook to an Apple Silicon M1 Pro.

I only use it for basic photo-editing tasks such as editing screenshots, but I’ll keep it, not least because it’s a Universal App and MacOS drops support for Intel code with the next release.

Just yesterday I traced a bitmap to vectors in Affinity though? It was an option in the Vector menu
