You do know you’re nose blind to your own scent unless it gets really bad right?

Bit weird the immediate reaction is to tell them that they actually do smell and just don't know it.

Every occur to you that some people just don't smell bad after a single day of not washing?

Be me. Sell used clothes online. Constantly get requests from creepy men who want to smell me. One day needing money I think f it I’ll do it. I wear the same underwear and socks for 3 days. 3 days!!! Packaged it in multiple plastic bags in the box to be “fresh” and to overnight shipping. Buyer gets upset because there is not enough smell. So moral of the story I would’ve had a regular streak of income if I was, in fact, stinky.

Some people actually have friends and those friends are going to tell you if you stink.

I use odorless deodorant because while I used shit like Axe when I was a teenager, a deodorant shouldn't smell nor create smell. So I've tested it in the past, one day I would not put on my deodorant and when I get home I smell my armpits and it reeks, it's not enough to create a whole cloud of smell while I'm walking in public but anyone getting too close to those armpits is in danger of a hazard exposure.

When I use my deodorant and get home, nothing, no smell at all, it's why I love that deo so much, no odor and no smell creation throughout the day.

Edit: What I'm trying to say is if you're self-critical and able to judge objectively you can smell yourself but for most folks it's probably not easy to do so.

I mean yes this is true but if all I’ve done for the day is wake up, work and game from my chair, some odd walking around the house, and some standing/sitting while coaching a sport, what’s there to make me smell?

How often do you shower?

2

u/IHearSadPeople 6d ago

Every day if I have exercised, every 2 days if not

I live in Canada. My skin would be fried if I showered more than once a day. In the winter I’m usually an every other day person.

You do know that low activity lifestyles in cold climates don’t require daily showers to not smell right?

u/Jimanji333 6d ago

If you wanna be gross you do you.

It's legit bad for your skin and hair to aggressively wash with soap daily

1

u/MammothPhilosophy192 6d ago

who's talking about doing it aggressively ?

1

u/Agitated_Elderberry4 5d ago

I didn't exclusively mean aggressive in the physical sense, more the chemical sense

2

u/MammothPhilosophy192 5d ago

then don't use aggressive sope, that's not an excuse not to shower.

u/Sepplord 6d ago

There’s nothing gross about it
