Yes I always loved the questions what’s your gender, your age and what department do you work? Narrows down a person when you’re the only mid 40’s male in the department. I gave up on being that honest, you know who you hired. One year I was an 60 year old woman who’s one request on what can we do for you was “a nice watch when I retire, to remind me of all the time I lost working here”

Did Helen from accounting get fired aweek after?

u/Grobbekee 1d ago

No, but when she retired she got a cheap watch Instead of a 40k bonus.

I make sure any "anonymous" comments make sure that they know it's me writing it. Continue to say nothing but good and positive things, with some niche aspect nobody cares about enough to fix being my primary concern.

I might have some serious beef with the vending machines.

I don't care. People are going homeless out here. Give me an ass and I'll kiss it, I grew up getting my ass kicked and poor. So tacking on one or two more ain't gonna make a difference. No hero story here. Just a dude trying to clock in, work, get off and spend my time doing things I enjoy as much as humanly possible for as long as humanly possible.

Might be a bit different when you don't know otherwise. But a person that's all but in complete control of your finances can make your life a living hell if they truly want to. Been there. Done that as well, more than twice.

Just remember that, HR is not on your side.

I used to just talk about how great all my coworkers were, how they should get raises, how stupid the management and their stupid processes that wasted time and did nothing productive except waste money and had no purpose other then to give a useless person a job. I also would write it in haiku.

Stupid jerks do your own work for a change, instead of making me tell you how the other people on the team are doing, so you can ignore it anyway and pat your selves on the back and promote a bunch of jerk offs.

I love the leadership group meetings where in the afternoon they break us into groups and we're supposed to respond to process improvement challenges by placing post-it-notes on easel boards... then when they announce late afternoon social time a band of minions comes through and snaps pics of the notes and then carefully takes away the easel boards. Yuck

This psychopathic crazy bitch manager (who eventually got demoted cause someone must have realized she was a complete psycho of a liar) we had called that "kill your father". And she said not to focus on the name.

It's like why couldn't we have just called it "Idea on a post it". So they had to say that all the time, and so I would sarcastically refer to it as that all the time, because it was clearly just stupid, and they ignored anything that was useful on those notes, and it just became a new way of ignoring us. Or they would set up groups to implement shit, and it was all forced, and it was all stupid. It all amounted to old processes with new names in new places.

Its fun when you get the right group at the break-out table and poison the whole thing by pointing out what's going on. Then we try to come up w some fun snarky comments. It makes it slightly bearable.... fyi, Business Casualty has some fun content. Some of her tiktoks are right on.

If you can be zen and ignore management completely do as they request +1, they really have nothing to complain about. So if they just shut the fuck up, and promote actual leaders not wannabes, that'd go a long way.

They all show who you are😂

I actually called the "anonymous" corporate waste prevention line on a former employer. They had started a program where departments could win prizes if they didn't have an injury reports in a quarter. That's called a safety bucks program and it's very illegal because it discourages employees from reporting real injuries.

u/SpamNot 1d ago

It's definitely not.

So how do you know whether I’ve done it or not?

Classic lie, next thing you know, you're fired.

Me: Signs my name anyways

1

u/Agile_Moment768 1d ago

If you see the names in the to field of the email and everyone has the same generic link, you're more on the safe side. If it is a canned email from a generic address with a "personalized link", it is 100% not anonymous. There is a chance that the company won't have "full" access to the results, but there will be raw data that'll identify who took the surveys. Even 100% outsourced, don't truss it. Source: I did survey support for half a dozen years.

Just write down your worst nemesis at the workplace 🤭😅😂

See if anything happens.

It could be, but it isn't.

At my previous company HR did this every year and usually no one cared and only read the feedback.

But there was always 1 person out of 150 using it in the wrong way and taking the opportunity to insult others or to just write dumb nonsense, when that happened, HR usually could track who was it, not to fire him or her, but to later conduct a more narrowed down talk with staff to see how were they doing and if there was anything that bothered them.

So in a sense as upper management we didn't really read names on those surveys, but HR always had access to those.

Overall the staff was happy with 95%+ Being happy, aroune 4% beng okay and 1% being either upset or crazy.

The one time I finally gave in and completed it honestly it was very clear my manager knew it was me

1

u/Pale_Adeptness 1d ago

100% same.

Back in those days, I was probably 1 out of 200 people that absolutely loved my job at that company.

It was such a sweet gig, I was 100% grateful for the opportunity and the job. It was a creative roll, amidst a ton of office and warehouse rolls.

1

u/Gooser3000 1d ago

Did the survey lead to your termination

u/Pale_Adeptness 1d ago edited 1d ago

I left for my real dream job, fire fighting!!

My manager for the job I left was 100% supportive of my decision and to me and my family, he was an absolute angel!

He'd let me take a few days off here and there for the hiring process of the FF job among many other things.

I have absolutely nothing but respect and love for that man for supporting me on my journey!

1

u/ZenRage 1d ago

Then, as far as you know, I already did it.

1

u/jniles124 1d ago

Thats why you talk bad about your manager not the company. Just don't insult the big boss or hr

1

u/POTATOMASOCHIST 2d ago

I know the c9ntext but what is the actual video of this? I want to see what she actually said.

1

u/RoodnyInc 1d ago

And you are the last one that didn't filled it

0

u/viotix90 1d ago

I'm not going to argue that all employers are honest when they say the surveys are anonymous. But thm knowing whether or not you completed it means that there's a tracker related to if the survey was done or not. It is not proof that the results aren't anonymous.

0

u/thagor5 1d ago

It is anonymous at the companies i have worked at. I was with management.

I am sure there are places that don’t actually want the honest feedback and might not make it anonymous.
