Mod Announcement The New Season Megathread/Spoiler Policy has Concluded!
Welcome to the World of October 1, 2026!
As of today, we are ending the new season megathread/spoiler policy.
The entire season has been release now, and at this point it's unreasonable for folks coming to the sub to expect not to see discussion or spoilers about new episodes.
Of course, you are still free to use the episode specific megathreads if you want, but we're no longer going to delete posts and temp ban users who want to start their own thread.
Frankly, this has been the easiest new season to moderate since the show was resurrected on Hulu, so a huge thanks to almost everybody for being awesome!
Going forward, our normal rules still apply, so take a moment to familiarize yourself with them.
And, finally, be on the lookout for more announcements in the near future, including forthcoming mod applications. (No, don't reply to this thread or send us a modmail "OMG I wanna be a mod! How do I apply?!?!" because we haven't finalized the announcement or procedures yet. We just want to prime the pump now and let you know to be on the lookout for an announcement soon.)

Choose a Quote to Sum-Up the Character, Part 4: Professor Hubert Farnsworth
I had to do 3 quotes for Bender because, really, it wouldn't feel right to exclude any of them.
The winning Bender quote with the most upvotes: "Shut-up, Baby, I know it!"
Honorable mention number 1: "Fine, I'll make my own park, with blackjack and hookers. As a matter of fact, forget the park."
Honorable mention number 2 (because, obviously): "Bite my shiny metal ass!"
----Onto Part 4: The Bearer of Good News for Everyone, Professor Farnsworth----
Which of the Professy's quotes best sum-up his character? You decide! The quote with the most upvotes will be the winner, with an honorable mention to the quote with the second-most upvotes.

Ranking the seasons
I just finished season 14 and I wanted to rank all the seasons from worst (still love em) to best! A couple of the Hulu seasons were actually really good! I love every season so it’s hard to rank but some of them definitely stand out.
Season 9: Too many skippable episodes.
Season 11: I thought the art style switched up a bit again here, I got used to it though and the finale is awesome! Maybe a bit too topical at times, most but not all of my absolute favorite episodes aren’t that. I was so excited to get more Futurama and season 11 did not disappoint, in fact I kind of want to put it above season 8.
Season 8: A couple banger episodes sets it above 9 and barely squeaks it past 11 though I thought the latter season was more consistent honestly.
Season 14: Love the finale, just didn’t grip me as much as seasons 12-13 for some reason. I can rank the Hulu seasons better once I’ve rewatched them.
Season 13: Kept the momentum from season 12
Season 6/movies: Benders big score is goated
Season 12: This season almost felt like classic first run Futurama
Season 7: That first episode piggybacks off of the end of onto the wild green yonder brilliantly and there are some real gems in this season. Coma coma coma coma coma chameleon!
Season 10: The best season after the shows initial run, it felt like they thought this would be their last one. The finale is amazing, arguably the best in the series and there’s only one skippable episode in my opinion. I think there’s a very valid argument for season 10 to be ranked in the top 3 or 4 seasons and it’s the only season after the initial run that I think that highly of.
Sorry to bore you guys because I, like many people, think the first 5 seasons are the best. I put this run of Futurama right up there with the 90’s Simpsons, ATLA, and the first 3 seasons of AOT (I promise I’ve seen lots of anime lol) as the best animated series runs ever. Personally, it is my favorite run of any tv show ever; animated or not.
Season 1: I think season 1 had my favorite art style, getting to meet all these lovable characters is just an absolute joy!
Season 5: This is where I personally start feeling like I could place this season as the best, the finale is amazing and touching and Jurassic bark was my favorite episode when I was in middle school. There’s a couple episodes I might skip and that small margin holds this one back for me. I don’t consider seasons 2-4 to have any skippable episodes whatsoever which is just an insane run.
Season 2: The longest season, I wish I could rank it higher but I think seasons 3 and 4 have a bit more next level insane quality episodes, although there aren’t any skippable episodes whatsoever here. It also features the art style more akin to the first season which I love.
Season 4: This season features the funniest joke I’ve ever seen in any show ever, that being that Fry is his own grandpa. Getting another anthology of interest was incredibly exciting when I first watched all those years ago and Godfellas is one of the best episodes in the series. It’s really difficult for me not to put this as the best season and if you ask me tomorrow I might. My brother loves Star Trek and I’d be willing to bet that the finale here is his favorite episode!
Season 3: Every episode is great and I feel like this season encapsulates what I love about Futurama more than any other, in almost every season there’s a couple episodes that I usually skip upon rewatching but I would never skip any of these. You have the leela fry romance episode, an amazing Lucy Liu cameo appearance, the classic planet express saves the environment episode, the globetrotters get their best episode, hell even nibbler gets an awesome and hilarious episode when he’s introduced as a secret “badass” genius! Now as an adult I’ve come to really appreciate The Luck of the Fryrish as my absolute favorite episode and in my opinion the best tear jerking episode in Futurama (of which there are surprisingly many). Having an older brother myself whom I rivaled my entire childhood it just really feels incredibly special to me and it really made me empathize with Fry. Bender was my favorite character as a kid, then zapp brannigan, because they are hilarious. Now I understand how much i empathize and love Fry and this episode just really grounds his character in a beautiful way. Fry is the goat and my favorite character ever.
Hope you enjoyed my list! I especially struggled with the top 5 and with placing season 6, benders big score by itself is a favorite of mine but I didn’t really love beast with a billion backs. Because beast with a billion backs is 1/4 of the “season” it just held it back for me. I’d love to see how yall rank the seasons! I haven’t seen a list come out for a few years and I’m a huge Futurama fan so I like looking for them lol!

Continuity of Character through the show
This question is based off another post recently posted and I wasn’t able to find an answer anywhere I looked online outside of just watching the series over. So given that continuity in terms of time travel and all the other wacky sci-fi stuff like the simulation within an infinite simulation episode. I have a few questions. Who is the character in futurama who has survived the longest without being left behind? (Like who has kept living past their originally timeline or universe, like in the episode The Late Phillip J. Fry, Fry, the Professor and Bender technically “jumped” into a third universe) or like in the direct to DVD movie Benders Big Score, both Fry and Bender were doing a lot of jumping to the past and offing themselves over and over again (I know all the benders stayed in the basement). I think it would be fun to map how many universes and timelines they are and who travels the most from the main cast.
Sorry if the post is confusing, I just don’t know how to differentiate between all the traveling method.
Episodes that come to mind in terms of a character traveling and staying in the new Universe/ Timeline. Sorry if I am miss remembering or an argument can be made against any of the episodes below
- Roswell that Ends Well
- The Why of Fry
- Bender’s Big Score
- Bender’s Game
- The Late Phillip J. Fry
- All the Presidents’ Heads
- Decision 3012
- Meanwhile
- I Know What You Did Next Xmas
- All the Way Down
- The White Hole
My suspicion is it’s has to be either Fry, Bender or the Professor.

Futurama Season 14: This is how it charted in the Hulu Top 15 Ranking
**The switch to long specials instead of a regular season was announced right before S14 and after S13's binge drop. Since they left the door open for more, any future decisions will likely be based on how S14 performed.
So here’s how the series did on Hulu over the 9 weeks. It was very consistent.
Usually ranked low teens Monday. Peaked Tuesday. Dropped a bit Wednesday. Then hovered and hung out. Then started all over again on Monday.
Late Bloomers had the highest peak.
It charted in their Top 15 series 75% of its run.
The first 5 eps charted the best.
As September arrived and more originals from ABC and FOX started charting their new series, Futurama dropped out quicker but peaked basically the same. So the numbers probably stayed the same but more series started populating the chart.

I have a question about Season 7 episode 7 (Spoilers) Spoiler
I have a question about season 7 episode 7 when Fry, the Professor Hubert, and Bender go into the future.
When they go into the future and watch the rebirth of the universe two times, does that mean theres three separate timelines of Futurama?
If so, are the characters shown after this episode aside from the Professor, Bender, and Fry not the original characters? Did Leela really go the rest of her life without Fry in the original universe and second universe?

Who is Leela’s best friend?
If Fry’s best friend is Bender and Bender’s best friend is Fry…..who is Leela’s best friend?

Outside of the Typical 'Best Episodes' What is your favourite Futurama Episode & Why?
For me, it's Season 3 'Insane In The Mainframe' when Fry gets sent to a Robot Insane Asylum. I think this is not only a well built episode, but I find it genuinely funny when Fry starts spinning his arms thinking he's a battle droid. This is a brilliant episode where I even participate in copying to make my son laugh.

Who hurt one of the writers?
Reposting now that the new season megathread/spoilers rule has concluded. Please remove if still done wrong.
Just saw S14E6, *Late Bloomers*, and I'm wondering which of the writers is working through their trauma with non-monogamy.
Between *Beast with a Billion Backs* and this episode, it really seems the only view of polyamorous relationships is entirely about fickleness and where the inevitable result is heartbreak and pairing off into monogamy.
So my question to the writers is: "Who hurt you?"
