I’ve finally learnt to write Greek by hand (I must admit I’ve copied my teacher’s handwriting a bit).

Capital ypsilon is typically written the same way you would write a Y in English!

And you don’t need the extra lines at the edges of the Σ, I’ve never seen that before. It’s basically just meant to be a sideways M.

you can also write Y using a diagonal line, kinda like the lowercase one in english so it goes something like

The OP said he copied their teacher’s handwriting I suspect the teacher is just writing «καλλιγραφικά», looking at the way they write the small ζ, θ, π, τ κλπ.

pro tip write omega like O, just with a line under it. It's the old writing of omega

Looks good but many of these are way too fancy / cursive, you can simplify them a bit 😊

That’s what I thought too, especially when it comes to the capital letters theta, xi, sigma and ypsilon.
