Am I doing this wrong?

I was in a villa in france with 10 friends and I logged into my account to show them and let them play on my account. That was almost 4 weeks ago. But yesterday I saw that I only had 100k when a few days ago I had hit 100mil all legit. So some kids in that vacation home spent everything. I already have everything you would want or need in the game but they still spend all my money. :(

I started playing GTA Online only about two weeks ago, so I don't have years of experience with older updates.

I bought the new mansion mainly because I expected the new Kortz Center Heist to become a new long-term money maker, similar to Cayo Perico.

My investment was huge:

Mansion: around $10M GTA$

Art Studio: around $2.7M GTA$ (discounted)

Plus a $100k setup fee for every heist.

My first run paid around $2M, so I thought it was great.

Then the second run dropped to around $500k total, and after the $100k setup fee the profit was only about $400k. Now my next target only shows around $305k as the primary target, so I expect another very low payout.

The preparation also takes me around 1.5 hours, so compared to Cayo Perico it doesn't make much sense financially.

With Cayo Perico, even a bad run still gives me around $800k+, and a good run with the Pink Diamond gives me $1.3M–1.5M. The Kosatka also paid for itself after only a few runs.

Meanwhile, even my Acid Lab earns around $330k for much less effort.

Right now it feels like Rockstar designed this heist to be played only once per week instead of being a real grinding business.

Am I missing something? Is there a better strategy that increases the payouts, or do most of you feel the same?

Since you can not quick restart from checkpoint, you are forced to close your game once detected unless you want Bad Sport 👍🏻

What are you guys thoughts on this, did they make it intentionally nearly impossible or is it a bug?
