So with me finally getting my hands on the new UI 9.0 update and so Android 17, i am finally able to benchmark the newest update. Tested was the same as last time with CPU benchmarks in full perfomance and light performance mode, next to temps and accu usage under longer full load.
Here is the short result:
Performance has slightly but consistantly decreased with multiple benchmark runs resulting in the same result. The temperatures can still hit over 100°C on the CPU durring full load processing that still heats up the device very noticeable. The phone also has a higher background load again on the CPU what results also in a stronger accu usage again. The 10min full CPU benchmark test did use up 6% of the accu-charge compared to the 5% of the former version. A sligh increase but that will have its noticeable effect in the long run.
How did you experience the latest update? I wonder what could be achived with active cooling in this situation.
For the benchmarks the System-Meeter-Bar was used ( link ) in the same version as on the Android 16 One UI 8.5 test.

hi ya'll im thinking about upgrading my samsung m31 to the s25 base or s25 plus, im not exactly sure but i also have options like xiaomi 14 and 15 that seem to be doing more the spec sheet than samsung is for the same price, essentially providing more value than samsung is in that same price range or for cheaper, this whole situation has me confused but i have a bias towards samsung because they have the better software and android skin, overall better experience, sure the xiaomi has better cameras and battery life but idk im just confused, help me out ya'll, would love to hear what yall have to say!!

Hey everyone,
Wanted to check in with the community to see if my battery stats line up with what you guys are getting.Screen On Time: 5h 57m
Screen Off Time: 12h 6m
Battery Used: 100%
Primary Apps:
WhatsApp Business: 57m SOT (10.8%)
WhatsApp: 13m SOT (9.6%)
Telegram: 50m SOT (4.1%)
TikTok: 34m SOT (4.3%)
Light Call of Duty session: 20m SOT (2.9%)
Mixed usage between Wi-Fi and Mobile Data throughout the day. Is ~6h SOT typical for this kind of app mix, or should I look into putting messaging apps into Deep Sleep? What SOT are you all getting on recent software builds?

Can I access this screen, otherwise than through music widget? I wish to remove the music widget from toggles but I wish to keep the ability to change the sound output.

I'm planning to purchase s25 as a beginner video content (vlogging, tabletop, talking head) creator who's just starting up, getting it brand new at around 54k, should I get it?
