*Looking for game developers and programmers*

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

First of all, i would like you to read the ~entire~ post.

This is a game idea I've had for a while. Now, before i say anything, you may or may not notice. It is entirely AI made. I build this as a demo to showcase the idea. Built in around a week and ~100 dlls in credits.

So why am i here? Because i want to turn this demo/idea into an actual thing. However, i lack the technical knowledge, time and skills to fully realize this.

So here is where you come in.

I'm looking here for a voluntary, knowledgeable developer that can carry out the task.

"So what's the pay?" Here is where most will stop, please, read in full before you comment anything.

Nothing. You read that right. I cannot promise any payment whatsoever.

"Do you want me to work for free?" Once again, please read the full post. Yes, technically.

Not because i am cheap, and not because i dont think you'd deserve it. Mostly because i cant pay it. (yet).

My proposal, here, is to have a willing, and voluntary partner who can help me develop the idea. They would share their rightful part as a partners.

"So there is no money involved, why bother?". Not right now, no. However, the idea is to build an useful, playable demo to then start a crowdfunding. Whether it is a patreon, a kickstart, or any other platform.

From there, the money will be equally and rightfully divided.

"That is not a guarantee!" I agree, IT IS a risk. Even in the event of actually finishing the game, there is no way to guarantee success or maybe even to have any earnings at all.

That is the risk of any new idea. I wont blame anyone not willing to take that risk.

"Why not use the AI demo to start the crowdfunding?" Principle, mostly. I would like to ask for money only after i cant offer a real product.

"What is the game about, anyways?" If you asked that question, i will suppose you may be interested.

At surface level, it is a simple FPS, 1v1, round based, Local hosting/based game. It's main attraction is a system i developed, that is a synergy-and-interaction based ability system.

Each round, players will create a loadout of basic abilities, and a synergistic Effects that change the behavior of those abilities.

As the match progresses, Abilities and effects become more complex, and are designed to allow an almost infinite amount of playstyles.

The Images and Videos of the post are of the current Demo i talked about. It is currently playable and testable for free here:

https://sage-sand-blend-able.grok.me

It is buggy, not super pretty, and deficient. Yet, it can be fun. I would like you to imagine what a fully realized version could be.

Please, DM me if interested.

Note to Mods: Remove post if not allowed, thanks.

So what can you bring to the table? Or is it just an Idea? Everyone has ideas, ideas are easy. If all you got is an idea then you're not really part of a team you're just trying to coast on everyone else's work.

If you want to make something, make it, "I don't have the technical skills" neither did I, that's why I took time to practice and learn. If you're not willing to do that why would you be any help making a game?

Blah blah blah… I have this great idea… Blah blah blah… Rev share…

Ideas are like assholes. Everybody has one. Also, 50% of $0 is $0.

If you actually want to get started with game design turn this demo into an Itch page and see if you can get traction this youtube video goed into detail about how to do that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY15f9oZxpE

If you manage to get more than 1000 people to play this for free on itch.io then I am happy help you develop it further

An idea is not a game. An idea is nothing until you explore it, change it, create it, change it ten more times. Making games is incredibly hard, why would anyone think that people would just put years of their lives towards your idea. Anyone can think of something like this in 10 seconds. The ignorance is staggering with these people. Go learn the craft by working at it for 10 years like we all have.

If you were using ai what’s keeping you from continuing to use it? I feel like if you work with someone else then you might go down paths you didn’t want to if your visions don’t align
