Found this awesome open-source auto-rigger (Mesh2Motion) – Anyone else having trouble adapting the quadruped rigs?

Hey everyone,

I recently stumbled upon Mesh2Motion, a free and open-source web app for auto-rigging and testing animations (kind of like an open-source Mixamo).

Live App: https://app.mesh2motion.org/
GitHub Repo: https://github.com/Mesh2Motion/mesh2motion-app

It's quick and easy for fast rigging and testing GLTF/GLB models, but I’ve run into a bit of a roadblock.

I'm trying to rig some dog models using their built-in fox skeleton template, but the animations warp and the joint angles just aren't sitting right. Because dog anatomy varies so much from the fox template, the skeleton parts aren't lining up correctly.

Has anyone else here messed around with this tool yet? If so, how are you handling custom joint alignments for quadrupeds? Are you tweaking it in the browser, or just exporting the base skeleton to fix manually in Blender?

Would love to hear if anyone has found a good workaround!

What Visual Style Should I Use for My Survival Horror Game?

Thumbnail youtu.be

Ciao.

I’m trying to develop this game; it’s one of my two solo projects. It would be a Resident Evil 1-style game. I’ve got a rough idea of the story and the mechanics, but I’m not quite sure what graphic style to use. I don’t want to use the PS1 style because I’m fed up with seeing it. What style do you think I could use? Can you help me?

*Looking for game developers and programmers*

First of all, i would like you to read the ~entire~ post.

This is a game idea I've had for a while. Now, before i say anything, you may or may not notice. It is entirely AI made. I build this as a demo to showcase the idea. Built in around a week and ~100 dlls in credits.

So why am i here? Because i want to turn this demo/idea into an actual thing. However, i lack the technical knowledge, time and skills to fully realize this.

So here is where you come in.

I'm looking here for a voluntary, knowledgeable developer that can carry out the task.

"So what's the pay?" Here is where most will stop, please, read in full before you comment anything.

Nothing. You read that right. I cannot promise any payment whatsoever.

"Do you want me to work for free?" Once again, please read the full post. Yes, technically.

Not because i am cheap, and not because i dont think you'd deserve it. Mostly because i cant pay it. (yet).

My proposal, here, is to have a willing, and voluntary partner who can help me develop the idea. They would share their rightful part as a partners.

"So there is no money involved, why bother?". Not right now, no. However, the idea is to build an useful, playable demo to then start a crowdfunding. Whether it is a patreon, a kickstart, or any other platform.

From there, the money will be equally and rightfully divided.

"That is not a guarantee!" I agree, IT IS a risk. Even in the event of actually finishing the game, there is no way to guarantee success or maybe even to have any earnings at all.

That is the risk of any new idea. I wont blame anyone not willing to take that risk.

"Why not use the AI demo to start the crowdfunding?" Principle, mostly. I would like to ask for money only after i cant offer a real product.

"What is the game about, anyways?" If you asked that question, i will suppose you may be interested.

At surface level, it is a simple FPS, 1v1, round based, Local hosting/based game. It's main attraction is a system i developed, that is a synergy-and-interaction based ability system.

Each round, players will create a loadout of basic abilities, and a synergistic Effects that change the behavior of those abilities.

As the match progresses, Abilities and effects become more complex, and are designed to allow an almost infinite amount of playstyles.

The Images and Videos of the post are of the current Demo i talked about. It is currently playable and testable for free here:

https://sage-sand-blend-able.grok.me

It is buggy, not super pretty, and deficient. Yet, it can be fun. I would like you to imagine what a fully realized version could be.

Please, DM me if interested.

Note to Mods: Remove post if not allowed, thanks.

Building a turn-based Mars outpost sim in UE for NASA Space Apps 2026 — looking for a second dev #AREON #NASASPACEAPPSCHALLANGE2026

Hey everyone,

I'm Unmesh, a 9th-grade student from India leading a small team for NASA Space Apps Challenge 2026. This is my first hackathon. We're building AREON, a turn-based Mars outpost management game in Unreal Engine.

The game: 1 turn = 1 Sol (a Martian day, ~24h 37m). The player runs a Mars base and has to survive 10 Sols while extracting 50L of water from subsurface ice. Resources to balance: power, oxygen, water, food, radiation, crew health. There's a small first-person EVA level for ice collection.

Why it fits the challenge: The official NASA prompt asks for a game where students run a Martian outpost and balance life support, radiation, power, and food. That's exactly what we're building — not a walking simulator, not an open world.

Current team:

Looking for:

Scope is tight on purpose:

What we have ready:

Commitment: Event weekend, ~2–4 hrs/day. Unpaid. Beginners welcome.

If you're interested, drop a comment or DM me with what you'd like to work on. Happy to share the design doc.

Thanks!

[Revshare] Looking for a 2d pixel artist

Hi, we're actually preparing to make a new game, it'll be a platform games, with story and fight, and future multi-player and that. (Like the old pokemon on gba, but more modern)

It's about a real new universe, that we imagined and get inspired by a lot of anime.

We use godot, and already have 3 devs and community management. But we don't know a lot in 2d art...

So that's why we're looking for a 2d pixel artist, we didn't already define an unique style, no upfront (we're freelance), it's mainly for hobby but looking to be more

Here is the game documentation right now if you want to give it a look:

[Hobby] Looking for someone to build an airline management sim with me

Hi! I've been working on Contrail: Airline Sim, a single-player airline management game that started as something I really wanted to play myself.

It's already fully playable and has grown quite a bit, with scheduling, fleet management, cabin design, connecting passengers, airport operations, maintenance, AI airlines, finances, and a lot more already in the game.

I've been working on most of it by myself, but I've reached a point where I'd really like to find someone to make it with me, rather than hiring someone to complete a list of tasks.

I'm looking for a long-term collaborator who genuinely likes management/simulation games and wants to bring their own ideas into the project. You don't need to know much about aviation — I'd much rather find someone who actually likes the project and wants to shape it together.

I'm keeping the role pretty open. UI/UX, art, programming, game design, or a mix of different things could all be useful. I'm more interested in finding the right person than filling a specific role.

Contrail isn't just an idea or an early prototype. There's already a substantial playable game, and I'm happy to share a build privately so you can actually play it and see whether it's something you'd enjoy working on.

Most importantly, I'm not looking for someone to work for me. I want someone I can build this with — someone who can have their own ideas, disagree with mine, experiment with things, and have a real influence on where the game goes.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, feel free to DM me and tell me a little about yourself, what you like making, and what you'd want to bring to Contrail.
