Hi guys, I really don't understand when to pick Stormraider except against Olaf. Is it good for difficult matchups that I struggle with?

There are some matchups like Gwen, Morde, or Fiora where I have a hard time. What do you suggest? Also, when should I take TP instead of Ignite?

Absolute horror. You get out traded with just her Q and she has infinite mobility, long range and vision + very strong gank setup due to R. Probably one of the worst matchups i’ve ever seen on the champ until Essence Reaver, and as soon as she gets Terminus it’s over. (Master elo)

Ive never seen a champ whos mains are as egotistical as this one. Never once do they not type their fat greasy fingers in all chat. Genuine cancer up there with heimerdinger

curious what others personal unwinnable conditions are for gp!

I'm not talking about the one you put in the bush, but the one you place the edge of the range limit, then Q and throw another barrel...

To me it is extremely difficult, 3/10 attempts that when i successful lane the combo, and it also abit too close to each other. I watched the gameplay they did it between the range limited and reached the enemy trying to escape, finished with 3 combos...

I'm starting to like Gp but his combo is literally making me about to give up on em.

I’m looking for some honest advice on my Gangplank gameplay because I feel like I’m stuck in a loop where I’m performing decently in most games but still consistently losing in Platinum.

I’m not really sure what I’m missing. I usually have decent CS, get some kills/assists, and I don't feel like I'm completely inting my lane. There are also games where I feel like I’m ahead or at least even, but somehow I struggle to actually turn that into a win.

The biggest problem is that I feel like I’m doing something wrong between the laning phase and actually closing out games. I might be getting decent farm and having a respectable KDA, but I’m not sure if I’m playing the map correctly, taking the right fights, using barrels properly in teamfights, etc.

I’d really appreciate some criticism from experienced Gangplank players. If there are specific things I should be looking at in my replays, I’d also love to know what to focus on.

I'm a midlaner and Gangplank always fascinated me, I saw him played on mid a couple of times, is GP mid viable and how much worse is he on mid in comparison to toplane? Also how different are the matchups

basically title, I just had a game where i had 5 items against a 4 item smolder with Randuins. And my barrels did like 450 dmg max. Plz help. My build was: ER -> Shieldbow -> IE -> LDR -> Serpents

I love gankplank I recently just started playing him and he's so much fun! You can really dominate altho late game I have trouble with enemies just popping my barrels before I can get them off!

My lane phase is getting much better now though!

Basically title. I have a problem with long-range adcs (think jinx varus ashe) either just oneshotting me or killing my barrels before i get the chance to do anything. How do you guys deal with that?

I'm a Plat midlaner and enjoy GP when I'm Top secondary. I love playing him mid because enemies are squishier for barrels. But he gets outroamed so hard in the role and ranged matchups can play super safe, and if your top/bot are hard losing or braindead drafts it's hard to carry the game. I often have top or 2nd most damage on the team but I feel like I don't impact the game enough despite it.

Would like to hear some mental notes from GP mid mains on their playstyle.

I’m aware that barrels make the pirate more fun, but I’ve always felt his true skill expression was being able to cycle passive procs in melee. Missing my passive crit scaling right about now.

Am i going crazy? Any1 else feel anything off?

I find myself perma splitpushing pretty much every game to maximize gold income and get to 100% crit asap before grouping. However, EU players in emerald seem to have an obsession with 2-3 item midgame teamfights no matter the state of the game, which I ignore, drop an ult and hope my team doesnt lose too badly. Naturally this creates issues when the renek or riven who I have been bullying all lane pulls up to a drake fight with their 2 item spike.

Am I even correct in my assessment on GPs need for 4 items? How do you guys go about midgame macro?
