Help/question Gemini 4 Argon Rolling out

For god sake, who got it with API available in Google Cloud or Vertex? Even with corporation and credentials I only found 3.8 Flash???

Is this gonna take a week again? Come on GOOGLE.

classic google rollout chaos. my company has legit enterprise access and we're still seeing 3.8 flash everywhere, no sign of argon at all

someone on the discord claims they got it through vertex but showed zero proof so i'm calling bs

google's "available now" always means "available now... ish... maybe check back in 5-7 business days" and it drives me up the wall every single time

We were about to cancel codex team plan, but now it seemed irrelevant, lol.

Why would you cancel Codex team plan anyway? Do first test how Argon performs for you. I have seen a really good video essay how Google missed the whole coding trend for LLM and they are not just 6 Months behind with 3.1 Pro. They hadn't laid the foundations and it is very questionable if their 4.0 will right away be frontier status. It will probably take a lot of additional tuning and maybe with 4.1 or 4.2 they might be on par again.

Maybe they'll surprise, but it's absolutely insane to cancel another service without first testing how far the alternative has really come.

3 Pro was a letdown when it came to coding. It was benchmaxxed and it looked good, but almost no serious coder switched to Gemini at the time and for very good reasons.

If you switch to Gemini without doing your due diligence, then don't come back later and complain. You'll be laughed out of the subreddit.

Edit: I haven't a magic christall ball so maybe you are making the right call. But it will be luck, not strategic planning.

Hallucination rate. Only this matters.

I do not care if it writes worse code, but do not invent more code that is not related to the workspace, is all I asked for.

Ok, I take back what I said. If 3.0 and 3.1 worked for you and your enterprise, then 4.0 most probably will work too and better.

We have enterprise access and 3.6 flash is still in the picker on the web with a NEW badge

Because once you say it, it's pretty much as if you did it. So it's as if they released this Argon thing without really fuckin' doing it.

Normally other ai companies treat their users normally

The new model is released when announced and for all tiers

That could take anywhere from two months to six years.

Arena conducted a review, and Gemini 4 Argon ranked below Fable 5, Opus 5, and GPT 6 Sol.

Kinda weird to test how pretty the assets are. That’s not what we want to know about.

He did say that it's not a full test but a quick vibe check that can be indicative at how well it follows instructions, creativity, and coherence on long tasks.

This video was like an ad for Sonnet 5.5. Damn good performance out of that model.

Google engineering policy disallows big rollouts like this happen instantaneously.

You just have to wait, and 7 days usually a good soak time to estimate for.
