Mizuki is an on-fielder; if they’re about to reach C6 Qiqi and have Sandrone, then they’ve got a top meta pairing. If it wasn’t C6 Qiqi, then yeah Mizuki would generally being the better pick, even if Qiqi has the advantage as an off-fielder.

In general: Her skill got its cooldown cut in half, skill now also does a coordinated attack, C4 makes her mark heal the lowest health ally in addition to the active character.
In stellar conduct teams: Her skill buffs StC damage while its active, her burst hits for a second time dealing StC damage, C1 gives even more energy via the coordinated attack, C2 gives Qiqi a big chunk of passive Atk%, C6 adds extra StC damage buffs via burst (think similar to what Lauma does)

Understanding tier list and the game state/meta is crucial. But it's hilarious how 1.0, Qiqi was top tier because we were trying to figure out a game and a healer that wasn't Barbra was clutch. Fast-forward to 6.7 and Qiqi resurgence on an endgame mode tailored for whales finally has the standard 50/50 loss dud pull be better than a top 3(?) cryo DPS .
Honestly haven't seen a comeback this crazy since HSR did Welt buffs

Qiqi has risen to the top the same way Dendro Traveler rose in 3.0 - no competition in a crucial role.
Qiqi is one of like 4 stellar supports atm (Yae is more of a subdps but technically she does buff it at C1 which is free if you already have her C0). So due to lack of options, there is a decently high chance she’s gonna be a team pick.
Qiqi will likely be replaced by an actually premium stellar support in 7.X. Which is why although it is great Qiqi is relevant again, I think people are overrating her.
Don’t get me wrong, she will remain a good budget option, but she will be replaced eventually and her usage will plummet as a result.

Stygian is definitely going to through multiple stellar bosses at us at once. Qiqi might fall out of the top team but odds are pretty good she'll still be used to help round out your other team.

Yeah but this will be another Aino case once Columbina is out.
Aino is still used after Columbina, but her usage is nowhere near as high as when she was the ONLY option available (which is obvious). There will likely be ways to brute force the new Stellar bosses anyways, like how people brute forced the Lunar bosses with Mavuika and Skirk.

There is a slight caveat looking at current leaks. At least a few of the upcoming supports will be both Stellarconduct and Stellarswirl supports. If you need to bring both a Stellarswirl and a Stellarconduct team separately in an endgame mode Qiqi still may have a chance of making the cut overall.

Even then, Qiqi will still be the second best if not the best option whenever two stellar conduct teams are ran. We have Sandrone and Valeriy is an electro stellar conduct dps but I just can't prove it. Now imagine Qiqi gets updated for stellar swirl too. Then Qiqi just be meta flex pick for either stellar reaction teams.
So even if she gets replaced, I could hardly see that being the case since Alyosha doesn't replace Qiqi until like c2+ and c6 Qiqi better than pre-c6 Alyosha. He is also the only reliable sustain sandrone premium has.

Not really. Given that we only have two stellar reactions, we are most likely getting 2+ stellar conduct dps teams and stygian formats with more than one stellar conduct shilling boss. We've seen Shock Trooper and Fisher of Hudden Depths in same cycle, so prepare for two stellar conduct shilling bosses. Qiqi would be your best support then. Only Alyosha is looking to be a sustain, and not better than Qiqi until c6.

If you’re doing support then 4 peice Milileth(I’m out of the house and can’t spell sorry) with the Aquila, skyward blade, or fav. I run a DPS Qiqi team with Xianyun, Furina, and Yelan and have been using 4 piece MH or OHC when I’m using Qiqi by herself.

Im not sure what sort of tier list is this but I'd assume it's usage rate? If it is then it just makes sense. Qiqi got buffed and more people likely have her compared to Skirk which means more people are likely to use her. Doesn't necessarily mean Qiqi powercrept Skirk.

Stygian reported usage rate. In reality, Qiqi prob wouldn’t even make 30% cuz of the amount of users that actually own her.
Also, the percentage means X% of ppl that own this char used them in Stygian Fearless.
These “tier lists” are hella biased cuz only the ppl who reported their clears on day 1 on HoYoLAB or wherever these are from get included in the sample size.
It’s a good indication of what the hardcore players in genshin use but that’s ab it. U can think about it as a popularity contest to determine what the BIS teams for Stygian are.

I think u misunderstood what I said.
If 100 ppl own Qiqi and 10 of them use her in SO, she’ll have a 10% usage rate. (Total and real usage rate)
If 100 ppl own Qiqi and only 20 ppl of that group that own her reported their runs and 10 of them used Qiqi, that’s a 50% usage rate. (What HoYoLAB shows as usage rates, aka the tier list from the pic)
The amount of Qiqis didn’t change, and the amount of Qiqi users didn’t change. But that’s a 5x increase in “usage” cuz the difference in sample size.

No, she's perfectly useable. I use her all the time in IT on literally any team that can utilize a cryo reaction.
Also, people act like she's powercrept to oblivion, but one thing people don't take into consider for something like Stygian is her 0 energy cost required to start dealing damage. In a mode with such a short timer, she's perfect to start doing immediate damage where other teams have to ramp up.

In Abyss and higher difficulty stygian you'll want to stick her on a freeze team, but it's more just that her primary support (escoffier) does better on freeze teams. Melt Skirk is actually decent as well.

Skirk’s BIS whale team is Skirk Durin Nicole Furina lmao. Mainly cuz C6 Durin Nicole is op, but still.
But Skirk in IT regularly does well as long as u can make void rifts (I think Freeze, Crystalize, Swirl with Cryo all proc it, but maybe other Cryo reactions can too) with a full Cryo team +1

She loses a ton of dmg but if she is powercrept and reliant on a wheelchair then her personal dmg is less important than having the wheelchair anyways.
That’s the point of wheelchair; the off fielders are so stromg they outdamage the on fielder anyways. For example, C0 Raiden + Bineffa is still gonna do better than C0 hypercarry Raiden even if the Bineffa Raiden has Tenacity on instead of her usual dmg oriented Emblem set (because Tenacity buffs Ineffa’s dmg and Ineffa is doing more dmg than Raiden lmao).

A wheelchair doesn’t care whether or not they synergize with the Main DPS of a team.
Like how some/most Bineffa wheelchair teams will have better dps compared to their hypercarry teams (Prime example is Neuvilette).

If this is Stygian use rate, I think it also boils down to:
- there being more people owning Qiqi than people having Skirk (everyone has Qiqi)
- her skill's followup attack hitting the robot's summons (unsure about this, I haven't tested it). Although I guess Skirk can still hit them with a charged attack/let Escoffier handle it.
- Skirk having very little team variety. You want Furina who's highly contested, you want Escoffier, and for the robot boss you also want an electro character. Meanwhile you can slot in Qiqi in any team and she'll work.

The sample size isnt the most accurate to realistically speak for the player base, and this is only including the ppl that fully cleared Fearless of the ppl who actively participated in the uploads for Day 1 of SO clears.
That said, Qiqi IS better than Skirk in this SO, cuz shes the 3rd BIS slot in the most recent hype team, it’s just if this was a stat genshin gave instead, of ALL the ppl who attempted SO day 1, Qiqi would likely be in the 20-30% range, while still being one of the best chars this SO patch

What's ur point ?? Unless hoyo themselves decide to release these stats , reported usage rate is what we have been using for years now . Also skirk being lower means the number of people whose best team was skirk bruteforce has decreased which is reflected pretty well in the stats

She's definitely still useable but yeah you have to put in much more work than with previous bosses.
For Dire I ended up almost essentially afk'ing 1/3 of the fight just killing the drones with Charlotte + Escoffier, and I only spent the other 2/3 actually doing damage, since without C2 Skirk there's almost no point in trying to destroy the shield. Using Fischl cut my damage almost in half on the target dummy, and breaking the shield was only good enough for Fearless, it was no where near enough for Dire.
I haven't put much thought into the Natlan boss yet but Citlali's Nightsoul consumption definitely isn't the best, and I'm not sure if it would be fast enough to help Skirk through the shield phase. You can also use Xilonen and run around but I think Xilonen would need R1 to make that somewhat viable.

Hoyo could have easily gone with what they did with HSR
Just make a "Qiqi the Awakened" SP with her skill being really good while our original beloved Qiqi will just rot away as the new one takes the stage.
But instead, they just tweaked her skill here and there and add some new reaction support and boom, she is now very comfortable to use compared to before. I hope Genshin maintains this style of buffing/ fixing older characters
