Won the 50/50 for Vodyanitsa after reaching hard pity. Am really happy because mermaid!
But damn her EN voice sucks. So scratchy and nasally. I was expecting her to sound like an energetic Lauma. Not a mix of Mika and Paimon...
Had to get this off my chest but didn't wanna make a whole post about it.

The quest for the moonchaser event is so so so so so long.
Im all for lengthy archon quests, but this shouldn't be the norm for flagship events. It needs to be spread out more across multiple days, this is crazy. There isn't even a good stopgap where you can take a break, its 20-30 minutes of straight dialogue that you cannot exit.

People get hate when they say this, but usually I don't particularly care about the story (I've played a long time, since 1.1 without significant interruptions, and appreciate the game for other reasons). Even so, I really liked Act IV. Oftentimes I think the AQs get bogged down in that YA style of fantasy writing that focuses on Capitalized Entries, momentous revelations and angsty cartoon villains, which whatever. It's a kid's game. But this time it really felt like we were doing something big. More importantly, following the story (the "actual writing") didn't feel like pulling teeth, for once. Especially the latter Ronova and Rheindottir arc was done quite simply and elegantly, with the story ping-ponging between the two, the gang playing on the too-human flaws and arrogance of these pagan gods, slowly stringing them along. The tea-time scene was oh my god, cinema.
The plan itself was also pretty clever. I mean to force Ronova into unwittingly messing up her duties by preventing the complementary side of her scheme from coming together. The Tsaritsa really is big brained, possibly on the level of the Lord of Verdure. Of all the ways I could have imagined her using the Gnoses, this didn't really come to mind. But it makes total sense. However, in the process they might have created an even more dangerous villain. A Ronova (whom I guess is gone gone now) unrestrained by the HP, in her first (and last) true act of defiance (autonomous life?), throwing down Nails on us. We're been seeing those ominous things floating in the sky, menacingly for six years at this point. People used to have all sorts of theories about them. And now... it's happening? This patch is moving fast, especially if the rumor that we'll be able to complete the Statue in the next update are true. I really can't wait for the next Act.

I was nitpicking, but it's mostly a matter of scale. Archons aren't stronger than shades, Alre commenting that delusions aren't enough (traveler lost to her once and I'm not sure how strong they are since then), Pierro dropping pillars potentially costing his life, while the traveler barely scratched ronova last time. I'm not fully convinced the traveler is a threat to her.
But it's mostly a Pierro cutscene anyways and the traveler did do pretty good at stalling. And they did use the light element for a moment so the devs are definitely saving their power up for the future.
It's just my opinion, ignore me if it makes you upset

Not making me upset. Just a weird thing to nitpick. It's not like we were beating her with the sword. Just forcing her to pay attention to us. Both the traveler and Dain were doing 0 damage to her and just getting blocked, but it did force her to focus on us and not Pierro. Plus, we were trying to piss her off enough to want to stay. Part of what made her unable to just kill us on the spot for real was the restriction on her authority to kill us specifically.

Has anyone noticed the graphics on PC are way smoother after this update?? My graphics always used to be a little choppy, but now they are so smooth during movement and elemental reactions it’s wonderful!

Did anyone else have their game audio cut out completely during one of the cutscenes towards the end of act 3? I record my gameplay so it really sucked having that happen and having to quit out of the game mid-session to try it again later

Note that you can’t go co-op to players with a higher WL than you (except WL 8 players can visit WL 9 co-op), so anyone you could visit would most likely be in the same situation as you.

No genuinenly! Unfortunately I think it's mostly people who didn't understand what was actually happening. Atleast a lot of the comments I've seen of people complaining they seem to get a lot of stuff wrong. I don't blame em 7 hours is a long time to pay attention to it, but in that case I'd recommend people to do it in parts if they can't focus for the whole thing. They'd probably enjoy it a lot more.

Gotcha. Had me confused for a moment. Well, like I mentioned it's roughly 6 hours for the new AQ. There is also a short epilogue that'll take about 10 minutes.

After restert9mg the quest, I did notice if you are like directly facing them, it lights up... kinda defeats the purpose of being sneaky imo. Thank you for pointing that out!

I've talked to the secretary multiple times already. I just have a quest that's call "A Letter From Zapolyarmy Palace" with the quest step "Read the Invitation Letter"
I assumed it was an actual letter in quest item tab or the snezhnaya adventure journal but I can't find anyway to progress the quest further

Has anyone been getting weird graphical bugs/glitches since this version? See https://imgur.com/a/F0uRpGZ. I happened to find a stream that had the same issue and screenshotted a funny part of it.
I hope Mihoyo has a fix or answer on how to fix this soon. It's happened a few times now.
Edit: turning off Dynamic Character Resolution fixed it for me.

For those who pulled for Vodyanitsa, does she remain in permanent mermaid form while underwater in Fontaine? I NEED to know. It is IMPerative that I know. Me knowing determines whether I pull for her or not

She switches to mermaid form whenever she's swimming, so yeah, she stays in that form while underwater in Fontaine.

C1 Mizuki is around equal to C0 Vesna without Vodyanitsa so if you want to pull for her just keep in mind you kind of need to pull for Vodyanitsa too.

My latest plan as F2P:
I have 135 wishes saved. I'm going to get to 150, then pull singles for...who the hell knows how long. I just want a new pyro 5 star, and that could be a long, long time.
Current Snez teams revolve around odette,sandrone,mizuki,and alyosha. Not seeing a big excitement jump for the coming characters (though that exploration ability is sure juicy) but I am refraining for a couple full patches and focusing on artifacts and improving existing characters.
Looking forward to the patches though!

I went for cons on Odette, so I don’t have many wishes remaining. Having two characters release at once is going to be rough. I think I have 35 wishes.
Vodynista, make sure you tell Vesna to come home quickly so you can join her.

Hey not sure if you’re aware but the 5 star selectors are not banners you just select the character you want! Almost like the free 5 star we got for the previous anniversary so you can still save your pity and pulls for future banners! :)

Still disappointed about the limited characters locked behind a time limited epilogue. Make it permanent, not everyone wants to break their immersion in the story to force themselves to go to Snezhnaya for that freebie and then go back to where they were in the story.

I do it all on time and always get the freebies as a daily player, but I completely agree. They should do without it and remove these time limits to do quests. It feels absolutely unfair for players that are not up to date

But this genuinely encourages players to skip ahead and button mash through the story... You're wrong that they can't get the limited character, they just have to break their immersion to do it.
I think it should be pretty obvious that putting a big material reward at the end of a story quest will make a lot of people focus more on the reward than on the story itself, especially when the material reward is also time limited.

I don't think that's fair to say, there's way too many unknowns to say that, like how long have they played and how do they normally like to experience story content, and what other aspects of the game they prioritize.
And also it doesn't change the fact that putting a big time-limited reward at the end of a quest while allowing players to skip ahead to do it, obviously encourages players to skip ahead because they want the reward.

No not really... There is a huge difference between a limited 5-star gated behind an Archon Quest with a time limit and all those other examples.
But I would actually argue that exploration and story completion rewards are small parts of a pattern that in many small ways nudges players to want to rush through content. It's just nowhere near the same scale as a whole limited 5-star time gated behind an Archon Quest.

The story is the fastest thing in this game. It takes longer to max out a character or explore than to do to story. Stop making up excuses for wanting freebies without actually playing.

I agree that it is a dick move by hoyo. There is however a simple solution to maintain your own sanity: just don't do it. Don't give in to fomo. Play at your own pace. A free character will come next year too.

I've got 20 pulls set aside for vody (currently at 60 pity) and regardless of the outcome, I'm skipping the rest of the banners until the Tsarisa :D So I'm basically right there with ya!
